Probably one of my most watched flms as a kid. It all looks pretty corny now, but like this film for sentimental value

It is what it is...a Van Damme movie. Great fight sequences with different martial arts styles represented, but only for fans of either Van Damme or martial arts movies. Van Damme is his usual self here - for better or worse - but this does include Oscar Winner Forest Whitaker so...( read more) how many karate movies can say they have a Best Actor winner in them?

Van Damme's calling card, sets the example for how every Van Damme film, bad guy does something, kill people to get to him, shows his ass in the process.

The movie that introduced Van Damme's splits (and ass) to the world. Go and hit that nutsack boy!

What really had me addicted to this movie was the music score when the fighters were competing. Even more so, when Bolo was cleaning house. I do love that guy's vain feriousness on his opponents. The only scene that should of been left out was Van Dammes final fight with him. Tha...( read more)t somewhat blind cry never should have been shot. Then the awful music accompaning it. The sequals to this movie were down right aweful but I watched this as a kid and have always enjoyed watching it. The only movie I think that I liked with Van Damme, I am not one of his fans but he did a good job in this one.

I never saw any of Bloodsport's sequals and from what i've heard i don't want to but this movie is great, the action is perfect, and the story is all around fresh(van damme did a lot of movies that had this type of plot) but this one pulled it off just right

Thats because Van Damme was only in the FIRST ONE, this is an awesome movie, they dont make action movies like this anymore, these movies dont get enough credit
