Keeping with his promise the young Democrat begins his road trip with a young drifter who is a free spirit and secrets of her own. They begin their trip as complete strangers but soon begin there is more than just friendship.
Blue State is an interesting look at what is going on the Untied States as we speak. Either Democrat or Republican, people should give this movie a view. The characters begin to see both sides of the fight and come to realistic terms with what the Untied States has come to. Breckin Meyer and Anna Paquin through out good performances and make you believe that they really believe what they are saying. Blue State is a romantic comedy with a hint of drama. The movie is well paced and well directed. Blue State gets three and half electoral votes out of five for being fresh and some good acting performances.

Hilarious movie! Breckin Meyer definitely surprises with this one. The story plot details around the 2004 Election, and one man's bet goes awry. Very bad, so he decides to honor his end of the bet and moves to Canada. Great comedic moments, and very intriguing story plot. Anna Pa...( read more)quin co-stars. Worth-seeing!

This is sort of a comedy, political, drama and romance film all mixed into one. The story is basically about a young democrat who makes a promise to move to Canada if George Bush is relected for a second term. Well we know Geroge Bush is elected President so he begins his journey...( read more) to Canada. He gets a travel companion who also wants to leave the United States. Through out the film we get to know each of these characters and follow their journey up to Winnipeg, Canada. Solid performances from Breckin Meyer and Anna Paquin. The characters are interesting and the story is entertaining. I found it funny when Breckin thought all Canadians are suppose to be friendly. He learned the hard way they are not all friendly. I guess I find that amusing as a Canadian myself. The film shows that stereotypes about both American and Canadian are not all true. The film also shows the views of people's political beliefs for each side. Overall I found this to be a decent watch. Well worth checking out.

Apart from that the tale of these two characters weren't intimitading..interesting. Just yap, yap and i...( read more)ts one of those movies watched only once.
