Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"Cuba Gooding Jr. is the kind of guy who does ten minutes of shtick every time the little light in the fridge comes on."
‑ J. R. Jones, Chicago Reader
"This movie is so bland, I can't even bring myself to completely trash it with a one-star spike."
‑ Peter Howell, Toronto Star
"Like a bad TV sitcom, the cruise ship plucks a stranded Swedish sun-tanning team from the ocean to comply with Hollywood's current unofficial cleavage quotient."
‑ Mark Halverson, Sacramento News & Review
"As painful as you imagine it is."
‑ Walter Chaw, Film Freak Central
"Boat Trip goes bottoms up early."
‑ Tom Meek, Boston Phoenix
"This is a tasteless and tacky farce laced with cheap homophobic jokes and cringe-inducing stereotypes ..."
‑ Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper
"Flouncing and preening, [Gooding] works hard to sell the movie's penile, puerile jokes, his strain so evident that it borders on sad."
‑ Carla Meyer, San Francisco Chronicle
"It also has one of the most lame plots in the history of lame plots."
‑ Mark Dinning, Empire Magazine
"[Gooding's] performance here isn't as energetic as it is desperate."
‑ Geoff Carter, Las Vegas Weekly
"No one comes off worse than Cuba Gooding, Jr., whom the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences could sue for defamation had the movie's advertisements put 'Academy Award winner' before his name."
‑ Nick Rogers, State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL)
"The movie improves immeasurably if you visualize a looming iceberg in the corner of the frame."
‑ Dennis Lim, Village Voice
"Boat Trip isn't all that funny, but it's consistent, at least, in its relentless pursuit of idiocy."
‑ Connie Ogle, Miami Herald
"Only Cuba Gooding Jr., the Olivier of his generation, could pull off such a daring commentary on modern manners."
‑ Martin Scribbs, Low IQ Canadian
"Esta comédia poderia até funcionar como um esquete do Saturday Night Live (o que combinaria até mesmo com o elenco), mas, como um longa de 94 minutos de duração, é irregular, cansativa e pouco original."
‑ Pablo Villaca, Cinema em Cena
"Apart from my disappointment that Roger Moore didn't use any funny Bond-related lines (let's face it, "license to drill" or "for your eyes only" would have been hilarious coming out of his mouth), the movie more than exceeded my expectations."
‑ Matt Easterbrook, Matt's Movie Reviews
