MCT:July 26, 2007I thought it was original and its casual self. It didn't need to be changed in any way. It was funny, bright, happy, and a crowd-pleaser. It can make anyone smile and there was never a chance I would say this movie is bad. It has imagination, reality, and everything mixed in. The ingredients are good and well done the actors were really good and had a sense-of-humnor. You can tell nobody forced them to be like that and you can actually see they are their own self. Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg (Ghost) does a good preformance and Haley Joel Osment, future Oscar nominee (The Sixth Sense) was also really good. And whoever played Bogus, Gerand .... was also really good and I find him funny and would like to know more about him cause he's got talent and I bet he knows it! I like this movie and this is actually a very fresh and funny film for family movie night and it's a very good selection.

This is really a cute movie of love and saddness. This cute little boy who losses his mother and then finds love in an imaginary friend.

A nice family film starring Haley Joel Osments in his first film outing.
He plays a kid whose family have all died and is taken in by Whoopi Goldberg. However it is his imaginary friend Bogus, played by the master that is Gerard Depardieu that makes this film.
Depardieu and Goldberg are good as always and Osment shows that he will go on to do greater things, however his hair cut spoilt the entire film for me! Har-de-har! -

Shockly for me i liked this one!!! Its not my style of film but the plot about children fantasies its very interesting .. specially when ure given the story from its (the kid) point of view..
We, as adults, lose many cualities that make our life more simple and magic, like: believing in imposible things or imagine.. simply use our imagination once in a while,smile to someone we dont know free of charges or laugh about the funny things of the day and why not? of ourselves once in a while too.
Well guys, basically the whole speech its not on the film , i was inspired by it..so... lol. I guess in a way it brought me a flashback of my chilhood.
PD: Not recommending it.. really, just giving my unusual opinion. -

Oh cmon! This movie is simply one great film. 3 unlikely characters, making...magic? on the screen! You add Depardieu and Goldberg and there are bound to be laughs.

Gérard Depardieu is awfully smashing in this film! it's so funny. it reminds me of drop dead fred, but different - sort of rougher, and a bit sadder <:-/>
