Boogeyman sequels takes a different direction & didn't turn out to be a PG-13 supernatural flick with CGI effects. This time is a gory slasher film. The story & the characters wasn't that interesting but what comes through for the film is some graphic death scenes & the gore effects are well done. The film becomes predictable but the ending wasn't so bad.Is an average & fast pace horror film that's better than the first Boogeyman.
decent storyline... but as always the boogeyman mask looks really bad... most of the actors really fit the bill of troubled teens and young adults.. so great casting.. & I really like the setting that it took place in.. what better of a place then in a mental hospital... a place where all your wildest fears can come true.. and you can't forget the man himself Tobin Bell... he just has this overwhelming presence since he started the SAW series.. so that was an added plus!
not as good as the first one the second one really sucked
The script centers on a young woman with a long-term phobia of the bogeyman, who voluntarily checks herself into a mental health facility with the hope of conquering her overwhelming fears. However, much to her horror, she discovers that some things are terrifying on purpose, and confronting her demons was not the best course of action.
I can not watch this movie. Some horror movies are good and then there are movies like this one. Unnecessary gore, cheesy plot, and why is Tobin Bell going all Jigsaw in this movie?!?!?!
I can hardly say i did'nt enjoy this when some of my favourite films are slasher horror's!!
So yes, this got a thumbs up from me, surprisingly actually as i thought it was gonna be really bad...
Its very run of the mill as stalker slashers go but its quite creepy ( also the guy from the SAW films is a main star so that helped too as he is just creepy anyway! lol!) its gory, nasty and quite inventive, what more could a horror fan ask for?
Well, while I do give it props for being better than the first Boogeyman, I wasn't very thrilled with this one either. Completely unoriginal, just a gory slasher film with sub-par acting and not nearly enough Tobin Bell. But the movie itself wasn't exactly horrible as long as your expectations aren't high. Catch it!
A Huge Improvement on the first one. Even though it's changed to a complete slasher film.
Typical Hollywood Horror, with a twist that follows along the lines of SAW...
which brings me to Tobin Bell (Jigsaw); whom for a moment played the same character that he did in saw.
It's unoriginal...and its gory, but its a fun slasher at that.
This was pretty good. I didn't expect it to be so graphic and violent though! The opening scenes were very strong to have involved children.
What I liked about this was we got to see what everyone was feeling.
Did Wes Craven write this? Because I?m pretty sure he did in the 80?s when he wrote Nightmare On Elm Street 3. Did anyone pay him when they remade it and called it something else?
The PG version must be dreadful. I watched the unrated version and didn't even find it that great. The characters were a joke and the overacting was horrible. At the same time, the death scenes were pretty good. Only worth seeing if it's the unrated version and you can't find anything better.
Oh dear! The first film was pretty lame, and this is about the same. Yes, it has Renee O'Connor, but its another gore/slash fest without enough Renee to hold your interest. Tobin Bell collects his paycheck to be menacing and the pretty young things such blood and scream a lot. Still, at least it is short!
Inicia bien, hasta podría decir que las actuaciones fueron decentes al principio, pero llegando a la mitad todo se vuelve demasiado fingido y pasa a ser otra película con un loco matando personas de la peor manera imaginable. 5/10
this is a film that wasn't HORRIBLE per-se,but should have been mucho better.Basically imagine Return To House On Haunted Hill (Which was also Very flawed, but atleast had some kewl stuff going on.)but as a slasher;1-dimensional characters,(you know your too much of a critique if you gripe about characterization in STD movies.)acting not worth crap aside from Tobin Bell being awesome, and a horrible My Bloody valentine ending that only worked when it was in My Bloody Valentine.(What a mucho awesome name for a horror film 'eh?)The first 2 victims and the lead girl were horribly written, and too cliched.
If you loved the Saw movies you will love this movie. Not really supernatural though. Tobin bell (from Saw) Plays a main part in this movie. I was kind of suprised shocked and sort of let down with the ending. Its definetly a guessing game threwout the whole movie."Gabrielle"from Xena the warrior princess plays in this one. So does the young kid from 7th heaven. Ironically the teenage boy from 7th heaven and Lucy Lawless(xena) Played in the first boogeyman. Let me just tell you this is not like the first boogeyman maybe some similar themes but it definetly gos in another direction. The main girl in the movie is a real "scream queen" or princess. Average horror movie with "SAW" like twists. The ending was ok. If you like Saw and a nightmare on elm street 3 you will like this movie. Barely any extras at all. This is straight to dvd.
I had read mixes reviews about this flix, I didn't like the first Boogeyman so I put my hands in this movie because I didn't have anything else to watch but expecting another disappointment. First of all this is a slasher horror movie instead of the disappointing supernatural part one. This one surpasses the original in blood, entertainment and ending. Worth a check.
