I watched this thinking I was about to see a disturbing, and sick horror movie. Instead I ended up laughing my ass off! I mean that in the best way.

This movie was ridiculously stupid, indeed. But it worked! It was funny as hell!

You can tell the director just kept throwing...( read more) in jokes every 10 seconds, attempting to make us laugh, and although half of it isn't THAT funny, the other half of it is just hilarious. It's a silly horror movie, with silly characters and silly situations. It's like "Transylvania 6-5000" meets "House of 9"(but not as crappy as House of 9). A silly, but fun horror film!

Very very strange horror comedy that I only saw due to Stephen Dorff being in it. You know its a slightly funny flick from the characters at the start but it then turns from a mysterious horror to a totally unscary unfunny and quite pointless bizarre heist, saw, cube type flick.
...( read more)The main baddie is quite weird and has a trap that set of spikes to fly up through the floor accompanied by disco music!!

Like the recent release, "The Cottage", "Botched" begins with crime gone awry that turns into a weird hostage situation, then a staple horror slasher shows up. It's funny, pokes at alot of Russian culture/cinema stuff in a juvenile yet still entertaining way. The slasher's story ...( read more)(he's atctually got one) is actually cool and more original than other recent slashedies like "Hatchet", "Severance" and "The Cottage". The characters all play out according to convention, but with silly affectations and quirks to make them sort of flimsy entertaining cardboard as opposed to just ol' post-Scream-derivative cardboard. It's more absurdist than serious about itself, which is a big plus for this movie in today's horror market. As much lame dialogue as there is, there is equal weird-funny dialogue. The first kill was totally friggin awesome; this has got enough staged gore for all the fr33ks and gorewhorez out there. Yeah, the blood is clearly fake, and the director/dp plays with that in the right way, so these people must know their genre and film-making pretty damn well. Worth a watch for horror fans, the intoxicated looking for late-night laughs, and "totally awesome" to any packs of tweenager budding horror buffs.

Slow to get going, then just out there and more absurd than funny. Has it's moments but didn't take itself too seriously so neither did I.

Wow! This film is genius. A crime thriller that turns into a comedy horror. Stephen Dorff is a professional thief who is trying to steal a priceless antique cross from the penthouse floor of a Moscow skyscraper. But all hell breaks loose when along with his bumbling sidekicks; he...( read more) gets trapped on the 13th floor. He soon has to deal with insane hostages and some very nasty twin serial killers. Horror-comedies seem to be all the rage at the moment. Many are just plain bad, but this works extremely well. The mood of the film really has its tongue placed firmly in cheek. From the Brit actors doing abysmal Russian accents to the Benny Hill style chase scenes complete with Russian polka songs soundtrack. Unnecessary fart gags and some very over the top slapstick gore and splatter. This is pure and simple low-brow entertainment. I think it helps if you and a morbid sense of humour. Jamie Foreman steals the film with his violent psychopathic Russian gangster. With Jeff Bell performing a fine comic turn as the woefully incompetent Alpha Male security guard. The only thing I thought was a waste was the extremely sexy Jaime Murray has very little to do. Shame as she is such a fine actress. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoyed Severance or Doghouse.

I was told this movie was great, and I guess for phsycho people like me, this was a great movie, had the mystery on who was in charge of killing, the characters were good and there was no one really famous to take away from the plot or the movie, best of all it had a charm on the...( read more) killers since it was comic, and I think I could watch it again and again without growing bored!!

I have literally just finished watching this film. I was on UK TV late last night and I taped it. What i thought was a crime comedy surprised me when it contained scenes of a gory horror. Scissors cutting off heads, heads being smashed in,, gruesome gunshot wounds and plenty of c...( read more)laret splashed around (mind you i did expect that as I thought this was a bloody crime/gangster flick because that what it was billed under from the synopsis on the TV). Good to see many british legends playing characters in this. Geoff Bell as the russian security guard particularly had me laughing as did Jamie Foreman as one of the russian accomplices' to Stephen Dorff's American character. Jaime Murray ain't bad as the russian heroine in this and even Bronagh Gallagher as the god loving Sonya had me in stiches too. Even the great Sean Pertwee makes a cameo in this as the head of the Russian Mafia. Another thing I was surprised about was the fact that their russian accents were pretty good. Botched is possibly the first Gore-com (Braindead doesn't count cause that was a horror-com) and get this the whole film was not filmed in Russia at all, it was filmed in Ireland. Botched is a hilarious gore comedy that I'd say is worth watching. I gonna track this one down and buy it as it's worth buying. So if you want a side splitting good laugh and you want to see some of the best british actors speak in russian accents check out Botched. It's a BLOODY GREAT MOVIE just like the poster says.
