MCT:July 4, 2008This is no doubt one of the worst movies I have ever seen. This makes your run of the mill TV movie look like Reservoir Dogs.
Based on a book by the one and only Britney Spears and her mother this is trash with nothing bar a reasonable performance from Virginia Madsen (I hope you got paid well) to save it.
The story of a red neck country gill who wins a scholarship in a prestigious music school is little but a vehicle to pedal Ms Spears pants music to the consumer and to generally agree that low brow must be the way.
There is nothing good going on here with all the beats as predictable as night following day.
Never ever again. -
MCT:April 28, 2007This movie was pretty bad.
Uh you think oh another chic flick, it won't be terrible well its not until you get to the second half of the movie where they just start dropping off characters, there really was no ending to it. It felt like it got cut off or something.
I don't think I want to watch it again lol -
MCT:January 6, 2007It was all right, I did only watch parts of it. What I did like was the end performance Holly gave. She managed to perfect her french accent and give a great performance, but she also "broke the rules" by adding in her own twist at the end of her performance.

MCT:December 16, 2006I CANNOT BELIEVE I SAT THROUGH THIS!!! granted, there was nothing else on the tv to watch.
There were many unbelievably cheesy moments... and very cliched lines.
The ending was unsatisfying and left much to be desired for closure. So many loose ends and no solutions to problems... what about her bf back home? What about their stuff in storage? Does she remain at the school? Does she become lead soprano? Did a talent scout give her a record deal? Is her mom going to date the professor?
VERY UNSATISFYING
