Broadway Melody of 1940
An inept dancer is mistakenly offered the lead in a Broadway show as his talented partner attempts to coach him in preparation. His drinking makes it impossible for him to perform, so his partner dons a mask and performs for him, impressing the audience and the leading lady. Before too long, his identity is exposed but all ends well. Starring Fred Astaire, George Murphy and Eleanor Powell, this musical features well-known songs by Cole Porter.

Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes
