A great documentary about Bruce Lee using TV and radio interviews with Lee, shots of his original writings and sketches, and well-placed scenes from his TV and movie career that help to illustrate his philosophy and the evolution of his martial arts perspective.
This was a very enjoyable piece on Bruce Lee. i learned about the man and how well rounded of an individual he was in real life. A great documentary about Bruce Lee using TV and radio interviews with Lee, shots of his original writings and sketches, and well-placed scenes from his TV and movie career that help to illustrate his philosophy and the evolution of his martial arts perspective. A MUST SEE if your a Bruce Lee fan.
Spoiler: It is NOT a fighting movie, it is a semi-documentary undetaking! What is a better way to pay homeage to Bruce Lee's lagacy by showing his thought in his own words as if you were listening to a beloved friend who was or still _is_ a inspiring teacher and a fine human being...
The re-cut version of Game of Death is worth watching this documentary for. The fight scenes are great and the show makes more sense even in this incomplete version than the sad "Game of Death," that was released to theaters after Bruce Lee's death.
This actually comes with the Special Edition two disc version of Enter the Dragon. Anyway, it's an extremely interesting documentary on Bruce Lee that also shows the twenty some odd minutes of fight scenes he shot for Game of Death before he went off to make 'Enter the Dragon.' Definitely worth checking out.
The REAL Game of Death..with a bunch of footage that Hollywood cut out of the Theatrical Version...this documentary was created after "lost" footage surfaced and was united with the original script...the first half is a lot of talk...but the second half - "The Game of Death"...is the reason this gets 5 stars...
