Buddy Rich - At The Top
The self-taught drummer Buddy Rich was often honored with the not insignificant title of "The World's Greatest Drummer." A star talent of the Jazz era, Rich played with Artie Shaw and Tommey Dorsey before fronting a big band of his own. This live video was filmed at Rochester, NY's Top of the Plaza in 1973. In his inimitable style, Rich performs an hour-long set of songs including "Norwegian Wood," "West Side Story," and "Love For Sale."
