it's a good-ish film already but it gets an even better rating just for its pure originality. i've not seen anything like it before!

    A disaster on every level.

If this film had a simple, ambiguous story, it would've gotten three stars. Once you hear that William Friedkin's involved in a movie, though, you know that there's usually more to the story than meets the eye.

"Bug" is a strong psychological drama. And I say drama because eight... ...( read more )

Interesting premise to look at paranoid delusions but I just didn't believe Judd's character would be taken in by the delusions of someone in a psychotic state, to the extent shown here.

Good lord, this is one of the most screwed-up movies I have ever beheld. It's coherent yet inconclusive, unified yet disorienting. It's scary because it looks so real: the characters are three dimensional, the sets are ugly and nothing special and the fantastic horror is set agai... ...( read more )

Bug, before i write further about this stupid little movie, if you think there is a "Bug" in this movie that attacks humans, well my friend you're wrong!

Bug started out good, it was captivating and you think things would be better and scarier, but it doesn't. I hate the tactic ... ...( read more )

David Edelstein, New York Magazine

Bug, directed by William Friedkin from Tracy Letts's play, has the feverish compression of live theater and the moody expansiveness of film. The mix is insanely powerful. full review

I was pleasantly surprised, I was expecting this movie to be a flop. I was drawn into the main characters and pleasantly horrified at some of the heightened dramatic parts, and also at the end I had some questions that also needed answered-but I love movies like that. I couldn't help finding myself itching either towards the end. lol

the mother bug sucks! this movie shows just how far a director can fall i guess. 30 years ago he made the excorcist and it was nominated for best picture, now he makes b-movies that can't even turn a profit. oh yeah this movie sucks too!
