Have lots of mistakes for a movie. But still the most interesting political movie for me.I didnt liked "Milk" that much because there were too much politics that bore me (and lots of gay scenes). But "Bulworth attract me because of its oscar nomination script.Other than Warren Beat...( read more)
A fantastic performance from Warren Beatty in this tiular role - as well as solid direction - of this sharp and funny political satire, ably supported by a fine supporting cast, including Halle Berry, Oliver Platt and Don Cheadle. One of the better films of 1998.
Great idea - politician has a nervous breakdown and starts telling the truth, which makes him popular with the voters and unpopular with everyone else. Sadly they try too hard, chuck in waaay too many subplots (him becoming "black" never really works) and push it until it collaps...( read more)
Two points that are a true testament to the arrogance of Warren Beatty:
1. He thought dressing like a "gangsta" and rapping about liberal politics for two hours would thrill moviegoers.
2. He thought it would turn moviegoers into Democrats.
I guess he really is "so vain" after...( read more)
This movie is SHEER brilliance! I should watch this again soon after I watch the other 1,000 or so movies on my must see list.
You have to see it, to get. There is serious political satire here and for what it's worth, that aspect works.
A suicidally disillusioned liberal politician puts a contract out on himself and takes the opportunity to be bluntly honest with his voters by affecting the rhythms and speech of hip-hop music and cul...( read more read more... )ture.

What a thrilling...bore...Ha,it could've been so much better. The ludicrous policy of the constitutional personas in and out of the socialite isn't Beatty's forte.Come to think of it he strides his way alongside those people he attempts to mock and he marginally declines to denude...( read more)
It's been a long time since I've seen this, but I do remember that I enjoyed it. My only criticism is that it is one of many films Mr. Beatty both directed and starred in that I think would have been better if he'd stayed behind the lens. He is a much better director.
NT SO FUNNY AS SOME FRIENDS TOLD ME....
WARREN BEATTY PLAYS VERY NICE BUT THAT NOT ALL TO RATE IT ABOVE 4 STARS..
Awkward. Not really funny, totally unsubtle and the idea of Warren Beatty rapping is distracting outlandish. I'm pretty sure he only made this movie to hook up with Halle Berry.
Review will be written when/if re-watched (Probability: Low).
First viewing: 14.12.1999
The most funniest film about politics in some time. A great cast and outrageous story that will offend some and make others laugh with delight. Whether you are into politics or not, this movie will make you laugh and (most of all) think. A must see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Warren Beatty indeed is a legend. A fine, charismatic actor who turned to the other side of the camera to create a few acclaimed pictures, like "Reds" or produce "Bugsy" which consists one of the best dialogue ever put on screen. "Bulworth", his fourth and last feature is sharply...( read more)
Warren Beatty was pretty good in this movie that satires the political processes.
Warren Beatty rapping is the only reason this gets 3 stars from me.
warren beatty tries to be hip and cool in america, as a politician gone bonkers, great satire and politics film, as we follow his charactor on one night, with black people, trying to be hip, and more inportantly telling the truth, great rapping from beatty, if you can believe that
A candidate telling the truth, Hmmm he must be crazy? Lol Warren Beatty pulls off being funny in this flick.
There are a lot of funny and true moments in this film. The supporting cast is great in this film. I really like how the film ends.
Tired and disillusioned Congressional candidate, Jay Bulworth (Beatty), subjects himself to sleep deprevation which in turn leads him to display unusual behaviour in public. Bizzarely, the public respond warmly to his more unorthodox opinions and he finds a new lease of life, ai...( read more)
I am ambivalent. Almost a decade later, still not entirely certain whether I mildly enjoyed this movie, or loathed it passionately.
