Meh its shock value is zero...And the movie is only 2 hour of kids barfing blood on each other. -
Dean !
This is rubbish! Low budget stuff even compared to the first, just one gross or gore scene after the next with little plot in between. Thankfully it only lasts about 75 mins that says it all really! -

By far, this is the greatest B-Movie sequel to come out in at least the past decade. It is unbelievably bizarre and disgusting, going from blood cum to bloody urine to aborted fetuses and finishes off with puss covered breasts. The violence is so over the top and downright illogical, but it all has to do with Ti West and his incredible knowledge and love for the horror genre. Much like House of the Devil, it's shot on 16mm and features a very 70s-80s atmosphere. It has to be one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while, almost every gag out-does the previous for the viewers enjoyment. In its own way it's just as good as the original, but you can't really compare them at all. Ti West is much more of a Nostalgia director, while Eli Roth at least plays at least somewhat with mainstream expectations. I have no doubt that this will go over most people's heads, due to the fact that most people think horror movies have to be scary. This is more for people who enjoy Masterpieces like: Evil Dead II, Pieces, Zombi 2 and The Beyond. -

I have to say I was not a fan of the original at all but I was hoping for a little more from a new cast and a different vision from Ti West. It has a few moments of pure goodness like some blackly funny gory/gross scenes and I loved that they used the disco song from the original 'Prom Night' but overall the film has no point or momentum. I blame Lionsgate moreso than West since he tried to have his name removed and replaced with the unhappy director standard 'Alan Smithee' so that does make me curious to see what his true vision could have possibly brought to improve this dreck. -

Nothing to get excited about, apparently this was taken from the director and overhauled by suits. A few fun moments here and there, but otherwise meh. -

**1/2 out of **** The production of the long-awaited sequel to Eli Roth's 2003 horror hit "Cabin Fever" was a long and over-complicated one, in which most of the juicy details have since been kept under wraps. We know not of exactly went on in the editing room that would make director Ti West want to disown the film, although the fact that he would want to do that in the first place certainly tells you something. West blames it on studio re-cuts, re-shoots, re-edits, and re-takes to the point where it wasn't even his movie anymore. He seems to believe that his style had been reversed-injected back into a stylistic needle and put somewhere in storage. He probably still has his cut of the film lying around somewhere, although as of now he doesn't seem to have any intention of releasing it to the public. So what we get is "Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever", a gruesome horror-comedy that was dumped straight-to-video, yet still manages to be worth its weight in both gore and demented laughter. The masses will be divided into two groups; those who hate the sequel and those who are fine with it. Either way, you've got to have respect for Mr. West and understand that - like it or not - he isn't truly responsible for the finished product. Picking up where "Cabin Fever" left off, a now visually mutilated Paul (Ryder Strong) awakens from the backwoods stream that would be his tomb and makes his way to the nearest road. The second he stumbles onto the pavement, he is squashed by a school bus. Who else to pick up the mess than everyone's favorite party animal policeman, deputy Winston (Giuseppe Andrews). At first, he's oblivious to whose remains he is examining, although in time, he comes to the realization that it was indeed Paul's, and that the flesh-eating virus from the first film is spreading by the water that the blood of Paul and others has now contaminated. And that very water is being bottled up, packaged, and sent to various buildings of interest. In particular, a new shipment makes its way to a nearby high school, where the prom is just a night away from commencing. It takes a little bit for Winston to even realize what's going on, but once he does, he tries to set things right. The characters (aside from Winston) consist of a few unlikely high school outcasts and snobs. Let's see: there's Nick (Noah Segen), a nerd who has the potential to be hip, his best friend Alex (Rusty Kelley), his crush Cassie (Alexi Wasser), and other mixed assortments of high school clichés. The first act is the students preparing for the prom, the second involves them attending it and the third act is all about the quarantine of the building and the blood-soaked dance-floor. Everyone's drinking the infected water, since it's in the punch and it's in the aforementioned water bottles that were just delivered to the school. This means that everyone - even the heroes - get a taste of the virus. Nick has to cut off his arm, his girl gets a nasty number on her back, and Alex's penis oozes with yellow puss (in what is, undeniably, the film's grossest scene). This is because earlier, he got a blowjob from a girl who was already semi-infected; in this sense, the sequel brings back the STD cautionary tale aspect of the original. I think it's safe to say that most people didn't expect much from "Cabin Fever 2", but I also think it's pretty safe to say that a lot of those people got more than they could have asked for. The film is fun - albeit uneven and untrue to the director's vision - and that's really what counts when it comes to these films, right? There's some really over-the-top and disgusting gore scenes, lots of projectile vomiting, and even the guy in the bunny suit from the first film makes an appearance (and they almost unmask him, maybe next time). I can't call it good, nor can I say that it really works, but it has a nice if inconsistent flow and charm to it. But that all depends on how twisted your idea of "charm" is. I'll give you a test: if you simply cringe at the scene in which Alex is losing his fingernails and decides to literally glue them back on, you won't want to watch the film in its entirety. But if you can manage to both laugh and cringe at the same time like I did in that particular scene, then I think you're ready for it. It's no "Cabin Fever", but my advice is to forget all that and - as good ol' deputy Winston would put it - "just enjoy the party, man." -

Although it's not as good as the first, it's still a pretty good sequel. -

Not as bad as I thought it would. The casts are uneven, few stands out while the others sink. It has the dark humor to keep the it flowing but it seems that is the only fun thing in the film as a whole. Cabin fever lacks horror and fun to be a good horror movie. But still, a so-so… More

Well the nasty tainted water has made its way to a local high school just in time for their prom and you think Carrie had a weird prom just wait till you see this one! Yep the sequel is here with loads more of the blood vomiting infected. Some parts so bad they were c razy funny. Guiseppe Andrews is the only one who returns from the original as the major partying local sheriifs deputy Winston. Andrews is actually a highlight in this one. Ok there you have it..In a nutshell anyone who liked the first one will probably like this one and if you didnt stay clear because the first one in my own opinion was 5 times better. -

This is one of those movies that is so bad it's good. It's the most entertaining movie with the word cabin in it that doesn't actually have a cabin IN it that I've ever seen. The final cut was so bad, as it turns out, that the director, Ti West, asked to have his name removed from the movie. Once the producers and editors got done with it, West said it was nothing he wanted to be considered responsible for. Rider Strong was in Cabin Fever 2, and his part lasted through the grabber. Noah Segan was alright as the lead, but there isn't anything else to say about him. Alexi Wasser is beautiful. Tall and thin, just how I like. She's a standard actress. Good acting for a B movie. I don't know what that says about her acting overall. There is plenty of gore, a cheesy story (what little there is), and mediocre acting. Fantastic. It's a wonderful little B movie that all true horror fans should watch just for a laugh. -

Warning. I have not had the misfortune of seeing this but my wife did and I trust her comments unreservedly. This film is apparently pathetic, a little gross with some giggles but overall it was ridiculous and you should give it the widest birth you can. -

About 30 seconds into the movie someone dies.. about 15 seconds later that person gets top billing for the movie. Yes. From that point on you know what to expect - cheese. There doesn't seem to be any connection to the first movie other than a couple of minor recasts and the virus itself. This is no more Cabin Fever 2 than 28 Weeks Later is Night of the Living Dead 10 or 15. Where is the cabin? The entire mystery and isolation behind the first movie is gone. I didn't even really enjoy Cabin Fever 1, but still find this movie an embarrassment to the series. The continuity in the movie is horrible. It's probably the worst I've ever seen.. people getting out of locked doors and others locked in unlocked doors just to start. It should be telling when the writer/director wanted his name taken off the film once he saw the production copy. That being said, this movie is arse and a big portion of that has to be his fault.. so he should be anchored with this on his resume. There is absolutely NO good material in this film.. Anywhere. For the love of God can someone get her co-stars a pair of lifters so the girl isn't a foot taller than everyone else? I can only imagine the goal was to make this movie funny campy with over the top gore. Well.. with the exception of a few scenes it isn't even intentionally unintentionally funny. Whether it tries to be funny or not - it simply isn't.. it is just embarrassingly campy and low quality. If you want to see a GOOD, low budget, intentionally unintentionally FUNNY, campy and charming movie.. see DANCE OF THE DEAD. Dance of the Dead is an Oscar winning flick compared to this - Cabin Fever 2 is Dance of the Dead's cheap high school theater-production version knock off. -

Another great film from Ti West, even if he doesn't think so. I enjoyed this one so much more than the original, loving both the campiness and the gore. West shows that when it comes to horror, he doesn't always have to do the slow burn, he's more than capable of making a fast paced, fun film. Likable heroes and villains abound in this gorefest that I hope West one day releases a director's cut for. -
