The hype around this movie is of one of the most incredibly shocking scenes of any movie, and it is. But the hype is missing the point of the movie. Although it may be the only thing on your mind, the movie is brilliant and masterful, causing more paranoia by the second.
Yawn. Hey, wanna watch a movie where absolutely NOTHING happens? This is the one for you! Apart from the lovely Juliette Binoche, this is a waste. Too bad- interesting idea, good cast.

even though the french are bastards and i hate them... this movie is ridiculously good. WTF, this shud be wide release. BRILLIANT
If you are looking for mystery and suspense, this defines both. Again, this may not be for everyone especially the easily confused like my mom, who I envision muttering, "Explain this to me," throughout the entire film. Very interesting and falls just short of five stars.

awsome, really great film, a 'thinker', doesn't give anything away, shocking in parts and its a real kind of 'moral' piece. 5* RECOMMENDED
A great film that really makes you think for days afterwards. I still don't know who it was. Not for you if you don't like slow films as this is very slow. Not quite as good as I thought it would be though - but worth a watch (on DVD).
