It is definitely a family film and as much as I enjoy the story by Oscar Wilde, this version of it is a bit disappointing. Maybe i'll see a better adaptation with the Charles Laughton version.

Very tame version of Oscar Wilde's short-story - but a good one for family viewing. Patrick Stewart was so good as the ghost here, it's a wonder what he might have been able to do with a bigger budget film; but none the less a favorite old story of mine and not bad for a TV vers...( read more)
