In a world of cartoonish looking talking cars, a race car named Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) gets lost on his way to the big Piston Cup Championship in California and end up in the little town of Radiator Springs. "Cars" is just another Disney/Pixar creation that everyone beside me seems to find hilarious and well made. The movie has some good backgrounds, but the computer animation is the same standard shit, that I'm so sick of seeing. The jokes are so boring and lame and the storyline has been done a hundred times before. To me, "Cars" is nothing more than a predictable boring waste of time. But I'm sure you enjoy it and have seen it already.
Hot damn. I liked this more than I thought I would. Ill admit at first I wasnt all that thrilled, but once more characters come in it gets so much better. I honesty by the very end was laughing out loud. Espesially during the things shown in the credits. Such jokes :)
It mostly suffers from the incredibly high standard set by Pixar, which is to say that it is still way better than most of the CG films out there . Still, I prefer my automobiles to just shut up and drive.
It's the truth. It's heartwarming, lighthearted, and just Funny. The Pixar team strikes Gold with this colorful "fast paced" comedy starring Owen Wilson. It is definitely destined to become a classic.
I hated this film. Pixar usually challenges the audience to think. This film challenged me to tolerate ticket prices. Anything with Larry the Cable Guy in it is already close to failure.
Pixar and Disney make a movie about moving along Route 66, after the road has been replaced with freeways. The story is told from the perspective of animated cars, like Techron cars on speed. Heartwarming songs and a gripping roadie score add to the mix, but Larry the Cable Guy keeps it from four stars.
Lightning McQueen, voiced by Owen Wilson, is a big time rookie race car is on his way to the biggest race of his life, the Piston Cup. But on the way, he gets parted from his trailor and ruins the road in a little town on Route 66 called Radiator Springs, or "hillbilly hell." And before he's allowed to leave Radiator Springs, he has to fix the road he tore up.
At first, Lightning McQueen hates everything about the little town. But the longer he's there, the more he starts to appreciate it and the other cars there. During his time in Radiator Springs, he befriends Mater, voiced by Larry the Cable Guy, Sally, voiced by Bonnie Hunt, and Doc, voiced by Paul Newman.
All in all, a great movie about how life is more than winning and trophies.
This movie just got better and better, and was seriously funny, as well as original. I'm concerned as to how in a world of cars the first one came about and how they pro-create, but just genius in every other respect! The clips in the credits were even funny, and I loved the character of Mater. Good clean fun you can definitely watch time & again!
omg. this is like the bestest movie in the whole world. well, not the bestest. theres better ones. but it was like so cool. with all the cars and all the fast races and it was funny. and rockin awesome.
I gave Lasseter two thumbs up for this movie and a couple up for the caste which made it extremely entertaining for all ages. Its impersonation of people in cars was excellent in my views. I almost forgot I was watching cars... and not people. Excellent movie!
it was ok the first couple times i watched it but i started to lose interest around the 20th or 30th time i was forced to watch it at family events and 1/2 days at school.
