Following a lead to the Bahamas, he encounters Dimitrios and his girlfriend, Solange. He learns that Dimitrios is involved with Le Chiffre, banker to the world's terrorist organizations. Secret Service intelligence reveals that Le Chiffre is planning to raise money in a high-stakes poker game in Montenegro at Le Casino Royale. MI6 assigns 007 to play against him, knowing that if Le Chiffre loses, it will destroy his organization. 'M' places Bond under the watchful eye of the beguiling Vesper Lynd. At first skeptical of what value Vesper can provide, Bond's interest in her deepens as they brave danger together--and even torture at the hands of Le Chiffre. In Montenegro, Bond allies himself with Matthis, MI6's local field agent, and Felix Leiter, who is representing the interests of the CIA. The marathon game proceeds with dirty tricks and violence, raising the stakes beyond blood money and reaching a terrifying climax.

Casino Royale bored me. Unimpressed to say the least! It just might be the only time you'll hear me say that Quentin Tarrintino should have directed it (seeing as it was his idea in the first place)

Shallow but exciting and engaging from frame one. Daniel Craig makes the 007 character more visceral and layered than ever before and elevates the film to a higher level than it would have achieved with a lesser actor. Veteran Bond director Martin Campbell skillfully reboots the ...( read more)franchise with its greatest installment yet.

This is one of the best Bond films ever done to date. This has to be the best somewhat reboot to a series made. Daniel Craig is just awesome and he really brought Bond to a new level! He was willing to get down and dirty and that is what Bond needed for this film. I am glad Danie...( read more)l Craig was willing to get fit for this because it turned out amazingly! I found the script very well written and we get to see how Bond became who we have known him to be. The casting for all the characters was very well done. I hope QoS is just as good or even better.

    Review:
Rebooting a franchise is very risky, specially for James Bond. After Die Another Day,the producers decided to reivent the series for a new generation with Casino Royale, showing Bond s early days as 007.I got to say that this is the greatest Bond movie ever made since Goldfinger and a excellent reivention of the legendary hero created by Ian Fleming. This is the Bond movie i always wanted to see and a great masterpiece.

Daniel Craig is the sixth actor to play James Bond, following the steps of Sean Connery,George Lazenby,Roger Moore,Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan and he s the first blond Bond of the history of the series. His choice was contorversial that the fans and critics were enraged about Bond s new look but after the movie being released,Craig proved to everybody that he is James Bond.Craig brings such a intensity, toughness and humanity to Bond in a brilliant way of course but he s also charming and sexy for the ladies.Craig is the best Bond since Sean Connery and i hope too see him more as 007.Judi Dench is brilliant as M and she s fantastic as usual.I love the conflict between M and Bond because she believes that Bond doesn t deserved her trust.Mads Milkkelsen is a excellent villain as LeChiffre,Bond s first opponent. He s sinistrely evill.Eva Green is stunning as Vesper Lynd.Seeing Vesper and Bond is so magical specially in the scene where she dies and Bond starts his obession for revenge that will continue in Quantum of Solace.Oh and the movie has one of the coolest poker games ever.

Martin Campbell ressurects Bond to a new generation after Goldeneye. His direction is brilliant and full of energy but at the same time he makes the Bond that everyone wanted to see.

Casino Royale is the best movie of the series and very faitfull to Fleming s spirit and also a lot better than Quantum of Solace.Anyway,Bond is reborn once again and better than never.

Much better bond than Brosman. I have never really watched alot of the older bond movies. Goldeneye was good for me, but Craig and this new style makes Bond movies something I am excited to watch - which was not the case before.

Liked it Daniel Craig is about as close a likeness to Sean Connery I've seen I just hate the did a reboot instead of continuing the story just in his own way to me it hurts the continuing story line.
