October 19, 2007tom hanks' scene with the volleyball is truly amazing!!! watching him losing the volleyball in the middle of the storm made me cry too! most of all, this is one rare story of a love which sustained him amidst hopelessness... a promise that was unintentionally broken... a love which gave him new hope to move on and live... i want to watch this again and again...

I think this is a real life story. Tom Hanks played a chracter that give us an idea of being cast off from our world.
When I saw this film I was all alone in my home and I was actively supporter of Hanks while the movie is going and he was my all time hero then. I place this film as a must-view. -
