    Danza Macabra is A. Margheriti's masterpiece. One of the greatest horror movies ever! Barbara Steele did a superb job (as usually, for sure)...she was Elizabeth Blackwood a ghost/vampire but she lived of love, not of blood...french version added a scene of topless of Sylvia Sorre...( read more)nte..growll..auuuhhh!!!..beginning of the movie with Poe's Berenice tale (played by great and beautiful voice of italian actor,Silvano Tranquilli) introduced THE FEAR. I was deeply in Poe's obsession to be buried alive. The mood of movie is involving me, constantly. Journalist and atheist Alan Porter it's ME. I can't stop to watch it, i'll never stop to watch it... people go by www.antoniomargheriti.com it's a great and superb site and has trailers, stills, posters of his movies ! RIP, master!

    One of my favorite Barbara Steele movies--she is supernaturally hot. Not really based on a Poe story. Otherwise it's a classic B/W Gothic horror movie in the old-school manner.

    This is a movie I saw in the 70s, as a youngster, on Friday night Chiller Theater. It has a great story that has always stuck with me since I was a kid. It is based on the classic Edgar Allan Poe work called Danse Macabre. The movie is in black and white and is French with Englis...( read more)h overdubs. Still, highly recommended for die hard horror fans.
