Some funny parts, but didn't work for me(although I may have the mindset of a child, I'm not 5 anymore :-p ) If you want to watch talking dogs get either the first one or "Marmaduke," both much better. Heck, even "G-Force" was better than this.

  Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore is the sequel of 2001 Cats and Dogs, it tells the story of Kitty Galore, formerly an agent for cat spy organization MEOWS, has gone rogue and hatched a diabolical plan to not only bring her canine enemies to heel, but take down her former kitty comrades and make the world her scratching post. Faced with this unprecedented threat, cats and dogs will be forced to join forces for the first time in history in an unlikely alliance to save themselves and their humans. Unlike the first one that was original and enjoyable, this one pretends to be funny without achieving it, the characters aren't as credible someone would think, the story isn't very good and the plot isn't very well developed. The cast is good in names. Chris O'Donnell and Jack McBrayer in live action characters and the voices of Neil Patrick Harris, Bette Midler, Joe Pantoliano, Sean Hayes, James Marsden, Christina Applegate and Nick Nolte. In conclusion, the movie may attract little kids for a period of time with some moments of humor but that's it.

  Obviously this movie is bad. A sequel to a lukewarm family film from nine years ago, the chances were slim that Cats and Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore would have ever worked. They don't even have the temerity to have the subtitle read "Pussy Galore" for fear that repeating the most famous Bond girl name might cause parents discomfort. It's a live-action talking-animal movie that posits that cats and dogs have been fighting an ages-old feud and they all have secret lairs and technology at their service despite lacking opposable thumbs. Really, premise alone you're already lowering the standards, and with standards firmly and securely lowered, you may even laugh once or twice (that's probably about it). It depends on how susceptible to puns you are because that is the primary joke vehicle. The film makes an attempt to throw animals into a Bond-styled action thriller with, pardon me, shaggy results. The character animation is poor, the dialogue feels like it was stitched from one groan-worthy pun after another, and yet Cats and Dogs 2 doesn't offend with its sheer badness. Premise alone, you sort of watch the thing in a vegetative state. Nate's Grade: D+

  I kind of enjoyed this. I liked the original 9 years ago, and this kept the same feel and sense of humor. The human actors are just a distraction to the spy like efforts of the cats and dogs, and there are no characters as funny as some of the cats in the original. The CGI, real animals, and puppetry, comes together most of the time, and it doesn't matter when it looks a bit ridiculous. The brief segments of Sean Hayes proves that he was the driving force of the original, and he should have been a main focus here. Like most childish children's films, there are many annoying characters and a lot of lame jokes, which had me groaning and sighing. Probably a bit too long went by between this and the original. Luckily, it allows new viewers to slip right in.

Just surprised how many good cast lend their voice in this movie like Neil Patrick Harris, James Marsden, Sean Hayes, Roger Moore, and Joe Pantoliano, with a leading performance from Chris O'Donnell... Overall, it's not good, but it wasn't that bad either because at least I get the fun while watching it..

Just a bunch of rushed thoughts] Well, let me start by saying this: It has been almost a decade since the release of the first film and one of the biggest mistakes the people behind this sequal made was waiting so long to make this one. By now, so many people have forgotten about the first movie and probably didn't even realize this was a sequal until seeing this. I mean, I only knew because a friend of mine reminded me while we saw the trailer in the theatre. I mean, if this came out two or three years after the first it would've have been a big deal, but 9 years is just so long. And as for all the kids who saw it [including me] when the first came out nine years ago, we don't wanna see this all-grown-up. And kids now probably didn't even know about the first until this movie. Sure, kids will getta kick out of this animal action-packed sequal. I mean, I guess at the same time them waiting so long isn't a big deal because this is much different than the first. All the main characters are mostly different...except for three. Mr. Tinkles [the evil cat from the first] is a minior character in this and the hero dog, Lou, is in this movie as well, but I wouldn't cast him as a main character. As for the kids, no, you probably don't have to see the first film. I do remember liking the first when I was a kid, but I dislike it now. So, anyone over the age of nine probably won't like this movie. As for little kiddies, they'll love it. Its a good movie to take the kids too. I just didn't find the story to be interesting. Some of the dog/cat jokes were actually kinda clever and I did find myself smirking at them but in the end this was just a terrible movie. SPOILER: Oh, and based on the ending, there will be a third. Just warning... Overall, a good film for the kids but rating this movie as a whole, no, its nothing special. Its a little too cheesy for my taste and some of it just a little over-the-top.

  this wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. i thought it would be horribly painful but it wasn't. it was okay. there's nothing special or even really good here but it's not horribly boring either. there were a few parts that made me smile and one part that made me laugh but that was about it. it got boring in parts but in others it was entertaining enough to were you weren't bored. overall if you have kids then this isn't too bad and it's good enough to sit through but the movie is really cliche and there isn't anything new here. C

  Being a Bond fan, I loved the opening scene which was a very well done version of the old James Bond movie title sequences (and 007 fans will also recognize that "Kitty Galore" is a pun on Bond girl Pussy Galore from Goldfinger) Plot: Cats and dogs put away their prejudices to save their beloved humans together and remove the world of Kitty Galore, the feline threat who intends to broadcast a sound only dogs can hear that will turn her canine nemeses into snarling menaces, who will attack their masters thus ridding the world of mankind. They even team up with a pigeon named Seamus and seek the help of Mr. Tinkles in a scene reminiscent of Silence of the Lambs. There are some twists and turns but it's all pretty much of the same caliber as the previous movie. Overall the story moves much faster, and is loaded with more laughs

  Not too much to say about this movie, but that the kids will love it. The DVD will be out on November 16. Perfect movie to rent for the family during the Thanksgiving Holiday!

  I know I am going against just about everyone, but I actually enjoyed this. The first I gave a 6/10. The first I have very fond memories of as a kid, and so these films are kind of a guilty pleasure for me. This film was actually supposed to come out in 2003 with Kevin Lima directing, didn't pan out for some reason, and it finally comes 7 years later. The target audience of the original are all grown up now for the most part, being a 9 year gap in between, so I'm not sure what the studio was thinking. I would like to see the third film be made in order to wrap things up nicely. There was some hilarious stuff in it: Fred Armisen, Joe Pantoliano's character's first appearance, and I really enjoyed the Bond homages, I mean, Shirley Bassey did the opening song, and Roger Moore plays a cat named Lazenby! Along with numerous other Bond homages. One thing I love about these movies are the assassins that are called in. "The Russian" and the "Ninja Cats" in the original, the Scotish brothers in this one, great stuff. It knows it's ridiculous, and is a fun family feature.

  No where near the laughs the first instalment delivered. the only good thing about this sequel is that they brought back Sean Hayes charector "Tinkles" SPOILER FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT CARE DONT READ FURTHER.. Yep and looks like there is going to be a third instalment folks you all have seen how silence of the lambs ended wellll. meet mr. tinkles who just might have a freind for dinner. In this instalment James Marsden provides the vocals for the main charector, a german sheppard police dog who is washed up named Diggs. Digg's partner (Chris Odonnell) cannot keep covering up Digg's blunders so until he can figure how to get his shield back Digg's must remain in the city pound. Butch, yes one of the returning heroes from Cats And Dogs 1 but voiced this time by Nick Nolte (guess Alec Baldwin wanted nothing to do with the sequel) gets advised by returning hero #2 Lou (also voiced by another actor) that he wants Diggs to join up with them to fight the new feline threat to canine and human kind Kitty Galore (voiced by Bette Midler). this time around the villain has come across a sound so severe that when dogs here it they will go crazy and attack their owners, therefore removing all dogs as pets due to safety concerns. As to which if this dasturdly plan succeeds next up on the chopping block will be the humans. Cats and dogs this time around have to join forces to remove the world of Kitty Galore the feline threat. My kids loved this as much as the firt instalment however i did not..but then again these movies were made for the kids i guess.....
