June 22, 2007You know it's hard out here for a lonely fugitive in this thriller, the first in a trilogy of interlocking stories and themes. As with all three films, the whole is greater than its parts, but on its own, 'On the Run' comes deliciously hard-boiled.

January 18, 2007Reminded me of Sur Mes Lévres, and Cinq fois Deux, in fact - French film at its darkest and most understated. Wonderfully acted, a thrilling start to the trilogy.
