Pretty good movie. The three headed dog was cool. Emmanuelle Vaugier is a great actress. Great movie.
I tuned in to watch this on the Sci-Fi channel expecting the worse. I'm glad, or rather confused, to say I found it very much watchable and yes, even enjoyable. The plot doesn't matter, nor does much else. I was simply in the mood for this kind of cinematic fast food. The CGI Cerberus doesn't look great, in fact he looks pretty poor but is still somehow effective. Perhaps this is because he serves his purpose in eating people and he didn't look so bad that I was laughing. I got rather wrapped up in the whole plot despite the absurdity of it. I would gladly watch it again despite it's lack of quality.
Hmmm well apart from the doggy that plays the title role looking nothing like the one in the poster I wasn't too disappointed with the CGI creature that appeared in this film.
The story is basically about two groups of people that want to get their hands on Attila The Hun's sword (oo-er), a mystical sword (or sw-ord as the Romanian's say) that grants the bearer invincibility. Unfortunately the sword is guarded by Ceberus the three-headed dog that guards the gate to Hades. The first half of the film is pretty bad and it's only in the second half when the dog turns up that things get interesting. One of the silly moments of the film is when someone goes back to delay the beast and his best friend finds a way out the dog can't follow, does he tells his friend? Oh no. Chomp! Chomp! Chomp!
