Jason Statham is 1 of my favorite actors but him trying to pull these little anti-american Brit jokes makes his work lose credibility IMO. Maybe when he turns 40 he will realize that it is us Americans that are making him rich.

I like the final outcome in this movie and here the "time warp" scenario worked well.
Just not your typical Statham action flick. Sorry Jason. :(

The real star here is Ryan Phillippe who, as the rookie detective, actually has a larger part than does Statham, and displays both brawn *and* brains.

Although there are some slow moments there is good action here and the film has a good premise.

PRETTY GOOD STATHAM FILM, BUT FILMED LIKE AN INDIE FLICK. I JUST CAN'T STAND PHILLIPPE'S ACTING THOUGH. i HAD IT FIGURED FROM THE BEGINNING BUT WAS STILL TWISTED.

It's Inside Man meets Heat meets The Usual suspects. A mind-blowing and razor-sharp suspense-thriller that will keep you guessing right till the very end. Explosive non-stop action and breathtaking suspense. A pulse-pounding and heart-racing plot thats is gripping as it is electrifying with great twist and turns. Cool and character driven. A full-throttle, exciting and riveting action-packed thrill-ride. Sizzeling, smart, crackeling and well excuted twist and turns. It's a real major kick of adreniline. Thribes on intelligence of it's plot and the strenghts of it's characters. Jason Statham and Ryan Phillippe are outstanding. Wesley Snipes is teriffic.

While not as exciting as, say, Crank or Transporter 2, (or, I hope, The Bank Job and Death Race), Chaos was good enough to keep my attention all the way thru.

Although the plot had been done before, the movie was much better than I was expecting. Despite a severely diluted version of Statham's usally badass characters, surprisingly it was Phillippe and SNIPES (what???!) who went a ways toward saving this from mediocrity.

Def worth a rent on DVD.

A pretty decent action film for a straight to DVD offering. It has a good cast and is entertaining enough, just a bit predictable. However most action fans will enjoy this.

By the synopsis this movie sounded like a typical bank robbery movie with the bad guys trying to outwit the cops. But in reality it was actually much better and more interesting. At first almost nothing makes sense, but later on one secret at a time begins to unravel ending up with tonnes of good twists.
All of this is of course assisted with plenty of impressive action and good acting, especially by Ryan Phillippe.
Definitely advise this to anyone who likes psychological action thrillers with twists.

Wow, how'd this sneak past me? I don't remember seeing anything for it! It turned out to be a greatly written movie, with great elements of action, thriller, suspense, and some humor. Cast was brilliant, and all around this was a great film. Check it out, you wont' be sorry!

Having only seen 4 films starring Ryan Phillippe, his work is fairly new to me, but I am no stranger to the superior acting and deliverance of high powered action given by both Wesley Snipes & Jason Statham. This was a great heist film, but I saw great not because "Chaos" delivered its viewers the same intensity of films like "Heat" and "Point Break". I say great because the plot was well written and quite frankly ... I could never guess who was behind the robbery and each time I thought I did ... the well written plot always presented another "Believable" candidate for the prime suspect. I would have loved to have seen more action, but this movie fits best under the movie genre of suspense / thriller and not action/adventure. So I was let down for that reason and that reason alone ... I expected action of Patrick Swayze from "Point Blank", but instead received the "Who Did It Suspense" which made "Murder on the Orient Express" so good.

    Favorite Quote In The Movie:

News Reporter: "Detective do you have any comments?"

Det. Quentin Conners: "Yeah I'll give you two ... Blow Me ... and let me know if there are any follow ups!"

Ryane Phillippe's character is very intellegant in this film. Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes combined made the perfect bad guy team. Very good twist at the end of the film.

This was a decent watch and really...that's about it.
I love Jason Statham and he played his usual, gruff character which, for me, never gets old, but this film was really pedestrian.
The movie pretends to be leaving you clues throughout as Phillipe's character attempts to piece it together. Phillipe kind of phoned this one in as well.
Note: If you, as a moviegoer, do not see it all coming and are actually taken by anything that transpires during the film then please...watch some more movies. Read a book. Do a crossword puzzle. Something to sharpen your inner Sherlock because this one was not only telegraphed they practically put up a bulletin board.
Total lack of realism. Fun little mystery with some nice explosions and a bank heist.
Suspend your disbelief and you might enjoy this movie for its pacing and few little nuggets here and there. Other than that...move along folks cause there ain't much else to be seen here.

There is a blooper when Phillippe is chasing the truck. He goes through the glass door, but the glass breaks about 5 seconds before the bike gets there. Opps

"You picked the wrong day not to use the ATM."

Chaos is just another cop/bad guy thriller with a few good names attached. I never expected this to be anything more than it turned out to be, which is disappointing especially when you consider the talent involved.

When a cop is suspended after a questionable decision during a hostage crisis, a group of five men commence a bank robbery downtown and will only negotiate with suspended cop Conners (Statham).

But when the criminals escape and disappear, the police must now work to flush them out and discover what really happened.

Effective cop thriller certainly has its moments, but it's sorely lacking in many aspects. First of all; the script. By using so much cop slang throughout the running time, the plot twists aren't in any way understandable and the film wants the audience to think far too hard about everything. Now I detest filmmakers who spoon feed everything to the audience, but there's a fine line between spoon feeding and not letting the audience understand what the hell is actually going on!

There's also some weird, miss-guided guff about the chaos theory thrown in there just to give the film a more promising title.

The film's pacing is another issue. With little action, the audience is forced to sit through endless scenes of drama that attempt to make the film smarter than it actually is. Still, Statham carries the movie quite well and there are a number of highly impressive names here as well.

The twist at the end is also kind of redeeming, and the film ends with a climax that is both unexpected and unconventional. It's just a shame the rest of the film didn't carry such intelligence.

Overall, Chaos is worth seeing but you won't be regretting it if you give it a pass.

Now THIS is a great movie!
Right up there in my fav movies, and for so many reasons ..
Its confusing at times, well, the first time you see it. But it is genious and i guarentee when you see it you will love the ending.
AMAZING acting by Jason Statham! Wesley Snipes - Perfect bad guy for this movie. Aand rising star Ryan Phillipe would have got a lot out of this movie. Definetly great acting from him!
Great Twist at the end, really amazing movie, well worth the rating!

A bank-heist 'who-done-it' cop-thriller of a movie paying out at least a couple of satisfying plot twists.
Funnily enough Wesely Snipes didn't ruin the movie and Jason Statham pulled off his role adequately too.

Slightly derivative, the plot is nevertheless a well constructed thriller and the target audience will be well satisfied.
