A rare dramatic role for Walter Matthau in a fast-paced action packed crime drama from director Don Siegel(most notably for hard-hitting crime dramas like Coogan's Bluff and Dirty Harry). Matthau does a fantastic job with this role as nobody could and then some. And he does deliver the goods. Also starring on this are Joe Don Baker and William Schallert. Excellent thriller if you don't mind some of the raw language here. One of the sleeper hits of the early 1970's. MPAA Rating: "R" for strong language,graphic violence and nudity. Released by Universal Pictures.
