August 31, 2006the orinal was WAYYYYYY better. johnny depp sucked in this movie. plus, if this was supposed to be a remake, they hacked it up. they put parts in this one that were crucial to the story line from the first one. Where on earth did charlie's dad come fromin the new one?? that was an important part in charlie winning. also, WTF HAPPENED TO THE OOMPA LOOMPAS????? WHAT IS THE MOVIE WITHOUT THEM??? DUH!!

August 9, 2006tim burton is always amazing , he's a genius .. when i saw "nightmare before christmas" (the first film of him that i saw) i was just "..wow ,he is a genius" , and johnny depp is truly amazing in this film

July 5, 2006This movie was wicked. I can't believe how good Tim Burton directed it, and Johnny Depp was brilliant. I love how Depp's Wonka was hard to understand and sometimes you weren't sure whether to laugh or not. Which I saw as the perfect way for Wonka to be. All the sets and costuming was great. I love how it went into Wonka's childhood and showed how he came to be the insane genius he was. Absolutely awesome. Couldn't have made it better myself.

June 27, 2006forgetting this was a kids movie i was hanging for this to come out and was a little disappointed when i eventually saw it .... they should have gone abit darker and casted manson as wonka ! hot!

May 24, 2006oh mr Depp, is there any character or part you can't make great. it's a tough job trying to remake a film with such a memorable predosessor. hats off to you lot, but, though this version is miles more humourouse, i'm afraid i still prefere the original, although i enjoyed how this film explained about Willy Wonker's past. that was good.
