As Wilbur moves into a new barn, he begins a second profound friendship with the most unlikely of creatures -- a spider named Charlotte -- and their bond inspires the animals around them to come together as a family. When the word gets out that Wilbur's days are numbered, it seems that only a miracle will save his life. A determined Charlotte -- who sees miracles in the ordinary - spins words into her web in an effort to convince the farmer that Wilbur is "some pig" and worth saving.

Not a bad movie. I read Charlotte's Web to my kids 25 years ago, but I don't remember if the movie was faithful to the book.

I liked the mix of real and computer-generated characters. It was done quite seamlessly. The story is a typical kid-friendly, good-morals type of kid's...( read more) show.

Now this is what a family film should be, something that stays very truthful and faithful to its source material (its been a long time since I've read the b...( read more)ook) and becomes a true classic, managing what other rehashes lose in translation......heart. The film is beautifully shot and the direction is handled nicely, the CGI shots are amazingly put together and some of the shots of Charlotte spinning her web while explaining things to Wilbur is truly beautiful and memorable. The voice actors own there characters in this film, which is rare because you do get many films that lack the soul in the voice acting. Julia Roberts was truly amazing as Charlotte, to many, that might sound a bit strange, seeing as its just her voice in a CG body, but voice can mean everything. Dakota Fanning, someone who has an aged soul beyond her years, who I think will be a brilliant actress one day (just as long as she doesn't become to cocky) isn't her best here, but like any actor, they have there moments. Also can't forget to mention the beautiful score from none other than Danny Elfman. It truly is one of the most beautiful family films I have seen in a very long time with something that will treat people of any age (and I don't just necessarily mean physically). Beautiful, amazing and it certainly bought a tear to my eye....and I'm surprised to say this, but everyone has that one film, one that taps into there inner child, a film that you can rewatch over and over in years to come and share with your kids....this film might just be that for me.

the pig wasn't digusting or anything, and it was really different from the book, but it was still a touching movie.
