This something to rent or borrow for a friend for the kids to watch it. I don't like how it shows that parents can't act like they are adults.

Okay, these movies are becoming a guilty pleasure. Your typical Utopian family movie, in the vein of Beethoven, Father of the Bride, etc. Very sweet and a couple of genuinely funny moments.

Still wondering why Bonnie Tyler doesn't get more notice... she's brilliant. She's perfect in these 'mother' roles.

Side note... What's going on with Hilary Duff in this film? She looks terrible! I can't say I'm her biggest fan, but she's not exceptionally painful to watch like certain other actresses in her age group... I digress... She looked anorexic in this film! Somebody feed the girl! Surely she doesn't think being that skinny is attractive!

Anyway, as I said, I enjoy these films. So they're nothing new, nothing out of the ordinary, but there's a sentimental old fool living in me who has made these films a guilty pleasure.

It's an okay kind of film. It doesn't play up to the original. but it's still enjoyable watching Steve Martin try and compete against Eugene Levy.

Sometimes it isn't true when they say the more, the merrier and it is definitely not true in this particular film. It is not as good as the first film, and the subplots aren't that well done but it is still a fine and so-so movie.

Plot: Steve Martin returns as the proud patriarch of the Baker family in this sequel to the original CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN, based on a book by Frank B. Gilbreth Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth. This time, all twelve Baker kids and their parents, Tom (Martin) and Kate (Bonnie Hunt), are going on vacation, returning to their summer cabin in Wisconsin for one last hurrah before the kids grow up and go their separate ways. Lorraine (Hilary Duff) is on her way to New York to begin an internship with VOGUE, Nora (Piper Perabo) is hugely pregnant, and the Bakers want to spend some quality time all together for a change. As the family arrives at their old house, however, they realize that some things have changed?and some things never do. Tom?s old high school rival, Jimmy Murtaugh (Eugene Levy) is now the big man about town, owning much of the surrounding area, and raising his large family in a huge home across the lake from the Bakers?. The longstanding competition between the two families?or at least that of the fathers--mounts over the course of their vacation, as the two men resort to ever nastier tactics of one-upsmanship. Meanwhile, Charlie Baker (Tom Welling) becomes closer with Anne Murtaugh (Jamie King), and Sarah (Alyson Stoner) embarks on her first romance with Eliot Murtaugh (Taylor Lautner). It all comes to a head when the two families face off in a canoeing race, during which they are faced with a decision between loyalty to family and friends, and the competitive edge.

They're older and more adventurous now so we're off to the lake for some good old fashioned competition with the neighbours.

Anything with Steve Martin is always funny. Check it out. It's rated PG for some sexual content and suggestive material.

steve martin stars in the new classic cheaper by the dozen 2. It all starts when tom wants to move to a new house. When he meets his old stupid enemy. Supirsingly Sharkboy from sharkboy and lava girl was included to like a girl. Shark boy invites her to the movies when tom comes in and wrects the whole thing. The next day Tom could only gather up 2 members for the family cup. Then when tom thought it was over he's family came and to the rescue and they had 12 kids. In the end it was a tie and it was a boat race. The bakers had someone pregnet so they werent going to compete but believe it or not she did. Her water broke when she was in the paddling thingy lol. She was in giant pain. So they had to forfeit and go to the hospital and she delivered a baby boy owww lol. HILARIOUS MOVIE 5 STARS!!!!!
