Following a chance meeting at a lavish banquet hall, single orphan bartender Khushi (Rani Mukherjee) approaches prominent architect Ranbir (Ajay Devgan) for some help putting his life together. Taking on Ranbir's surname in order to secure an apartment and get herself settled, both Khushi and Ranbir's lives are unexpectedly complicated when Khushi unknowingly introduces herself to Ranbir's parents as Mrs. Ranbir Malhotra.
