Russell Crowe is one of my favorite actors. He beautifully portrays and tells the story of a great boxer, James Braddock.

I've never been a Russell Crowe fan until I saw this movie - he played it beautifully - Wasn't convinced by Zellwegger's performance none-the-less definitely one to watch. A great movie

THIS MAN WENT FROM RICH TO POOR BUT STILL KEPT HIS HEAD UP AND NEVER GAVE UP ON HIS WIFE AND KIDS AND BY THE WAY THIS IS A TRUE STORY IT HAPPND DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION!!!!!!!!!

I'm a huge fan of Russell Crowe and I was not disappointed in this. Usually, these are not my type of films (as some here have commented) but something about his performance here drew me.

Surprisingly, a very good movie. I didn't think I'd like this kind of thing, but it kept me intrigued, if not entertained. Very uplifting, but not the type of thing I'd see more than once.
