Circumstantial Evidence
A newspaper reporter jeopardizes his own life to prove a point in this drama. His ordeal begins when he sets up a phony murder to show that circumstantial evidence should not be used in convicting accused criminals. The victim and setting are all convincing looking and the journalist is tried in court. At the end of the trial, the "deceased" was supposed to show up and exonerate him. Unfortunately, the victim doesn't arrive and the reporter is sentenced to hang and is sent to death row. Fortunately he is able to escape and then prove his innocence.
