I like clover field its so interesting. lol
The way they filmed it really pulls you in. Would've been nice to have a happy ending though, but then again: it does make it different from the average 'and they lived happily ever after'-movie . Bought it as soon as it got in stores.
Theres a lot to say about this movie, man. This movie has something that all movies should have and that almost no movie has, you are an other charater in this movie, I mean, you are as ignorant as the rest of the characters are and you know nothing about this thing that is just ...( read more)
I love the fact that Cloverfield dared to carve out a niche of its own. Now everything else that adopts the same format will have to be compared to it.
ceritanya klise - tapi cara penyampaiannya sungguh beda. awesome. Very unique and a must see movie, especially for those who like the creative one.
I think this is probably the best monster movie out there from recent years. They did an amazing job with keeping you surprised and wanting more. I actually thought the shaky cam served a purpose and made the movie a lot more fun and suspenseful. The acting was really good, espec...( read more)
I enjoyed the 1998 remake of Godzilla but I was disappointed that for all its very talented cast, that movie had no emotional heart. I never really felt anything of the character's predicament. Cloverfield does what Godzilla (in all its versions) failed to do; it allowed you to s...( read more)
Cloverfield, directed by Matt Reeves, had none of the cheesiness like other monster movies -- ehem, Godzilla anyone? -- but even with the great suspense and special effects... I have to say I left the theaters with a bit of a disappointment. I wasn't a big fan of the whole shaky ...( read more)
The shaky camera thing could get tiresome, but this is a fun watch. Cute girls, big action. It's the sole reason I went to the movies when I was in junior high, but at 25 that kind of movie is still a good time when handled right.
Nothing too groundbreaking, but fun with some clever ideas and scenes. A cool cast with lots of funny lines. The shaky cam definitely made me sick. Oh well. Didn't love the ending at first, but after thinking about it, I think it works pretty well. Overall, a solid monster movie.
Scared the living daylights out of me. Its not like Godzilla, in Godzilla you're watching from a safe place. Here you don't. ITS BIG. IT HUGE. And I can't remember the rest.
i was pissed after i payed for this ball of screaming monster CRAP!!!
THE FIRST PERSON CAMERA WAS THE MOST FRUSTRATING THING I HAVE EVER ENDURED
I was fearing I would be seeing somthing similar to the Blair Witch Project, so my expectations were very low. But I thought this was really good... possibly because I could see what was happening at the crucial parts.
CocoCoopah: "Random!"
SheriffBufordTJustice: Yes this movie was random. Was waiting for the cliche parts, but NO never happened. This is one of the very few movies in our time that keeps you guessing.
Why didn't I give it 5 stars then? I hated the fucking camera view :D
Really quite well done for what it is at the core, a simple monster movie. The camera really works and the storyline is actually interesting.
blah.. made me sick to my tummy with all the effin motion sickness inducing camera work
This movie is so bad I registered on this site just to warn people not to waste their time and money on this piece of crap. No idea where this Monster comes from, how it as well as the camera survive the nuke and how this girl with a crowbar through her body able to run from mons...( read more)
Excesivamente mal hecha. Te mareas gacho al verla. Muchos guacarearon en la sala.
Blair Witch + Godzilla = the most secretive movie ever.
This Guy Over Here picks this as one of the Best Horror Films of the 2000s
they make it look so real in a sense, it really went with the camcorder...i thought it was stupid but i actually end up liking the movie a lot...thrilled my bones haha
It tries to be "The Blair Witch Project", than tries to be "The Host", but let's face the truth - it just doesn't work!
It's the Blair Witch monster movie!
The campaign was cool, but once the dust of the hype settled it became clear that the creators of this film saved none of their ingenious plotting for the actual production.
The entirety of this movie: bad quality camera shots punctuated by e...( read more)
Fantastic film completely different from your normal monster movie love the way movie is filmed & great effects.
I was hooked on this movie from the start & then the lousy ending spoiled it all
A great idea, the story is pretty basic, but a novel take on an old formula
The 1st impression flashing in my head about this film as which is one of the typical 'disasters-movies' we have ever seen. The beginning does recall the certain scenario of 9/11. However, you have to compliment the successful marketing strategy of this "project"- the well cover-u...( read more)
this one of the best of the video camera movie and also very familiar of the 1998 "blair witch project" meet "godzilla". "blair witch project"(cause of a still filming that holding video camera rest of the film) and with monsters creature look-like a "godzilla"(kinda of giant cre...( read more)
This was actually pretty good. Tense most of the way through. I wasn't sure about the camcorder angle, but it worked out fine.
Cloverfield is based on the brilliantly simple idea that you can shoot an entire monster movie - Blair Witch style - from a single camcorder. The result is made of awesome. Starting with a going-away party, which justifies the running camera, something goes boom and the rest of t...( read more)
Cloverfield ? This is a super fun movie in the ?Blair Witch? style (only better). Alien attacks earth! Woo Hoo!! Loved it!
Le plan de caméra était assez à chier, style Projet Blair, mais étonnament, j'ai eu un sentiment de stress tout le long du film quand même!
Alright... an old tired genre given some new light. Just when you think you have seen all that you can see in a "monster movie" something refreshingly different comes along giving you the human condition in crisis. The real time aspect of it is totally engaging and the fact that ...( read more)
