This was the beginning of the end for Nicolas Cage - and his fantastic hairdo - as he started appearing in too many action movies. Con Air is quite decent though, its fun and kind of funny at times. There are plenty of cool characters and the pacing is quick. Plus, John Malkovich as the main villain is a lot of fun. Nothing too memorable, but extremely entertaining, no matter how dumb it is. -

Take out Nicholas Cage and a lot of explosions you have some great character acting from Malkovich, Cusack, Buscemi, Rhames, and company.

MCT:September 30, 2008Overrated action flick. Great cast, but Cage's accent and perceived intelligence ruins his role. Cheesy lines and over-the-top action scenes. This movie could have been so much more.

Con Air Rocks! This movie is so action packed. It is filled with nonstop action and violence throughout. It has great/outstanding acting from the 3 main actors; which is Nicolas Cage, John Cusack and John Malkovich. (Nicolas Cage) plays Cameron Poe;which is a ex con and former US Ranger who comes back to see his wife. While seeing and finding out that his wife Trish Poe who plays (Monica Potter) is pregnant at the bar where she works, they get harrased by a drunk guy. As Cameron and his wife Trish go out to get in their car, the drunk guy is harrasing them again. This time the drunk guy brought some of his buddies. So, Cameron couldn't take it and lost control and as the drunk guy was trying to stab him, Cameron bent the drunk guy's hand and stabbed him in self defense. There was only one problem, their was no witness's. So, Cameron went to court and was charged with 1st degree murder and was sentenced for 7 to 10 years. After the 7 to 10 years was up, it was time for Cameron to go home. Cameron was so happy because he finally gets to see his daughter for the 1st time. So, the only way that Cameron could get home, was by riding in a prisoner transport plane. There's something that totally goes wrong. One of the prisoners makes a very violent distraction by setting another prisoner on fire. The distraction was set so Cyrus the Virus; which plays John Malkovich can get outta his cuffs. This was planned before Cyrus got on the plane. So, Cyrus breaks outta his cage. Now, he finally has contol of the plane along with his 2 ruthless associates. One of Cyrus's associates is Nathan AKA Diamond Dog played by Ving Rhames and the other one is Billy played by Nick Chinlund. All 3 of them are the most vicious and dangerous prisoners. When Cameron finally notices that the prisoners have taken over the plane, he definetly does something about it. While the prisoner plane his headed to carson's airport, Detctive Vince Larcan who plays (John Cusack) investigates. Detective Larcan does all he can to try catch the prisoners before they escape and disappear into other states. The FBI definetly cannot let that happen. If it does their will be terrorism throughout the world.
I love this movie so much that i just wanna watch it over & over again. It has the best intense explosive action sequences ive ever seen in a movie; especially an R Rated one. This is one of the best Nicolas Cage movies ive seen. Outta the 3 main actors i'd have to say that (John Malkovich) is the most powerful actor in this. He was an amazing bad guy. I could see him on any prisoner flick. Nicolas Cage was my 2nd best actor. His acting was great, i just wasn't into his country voice. It got pretty annoying in the movie. Overall i recommend every action fan thats looking for lots of high energy action from start to finish to buy this asap. Its Awesome! Its an adrenaline rush thrill ride. Im definetly getting this on blu-ray.

I didn't watch the whole thing so I don't know how to rate it but what I did see/hear was nicholas cage with a horrible fake southern accent.

MCT:September 23, 2008"Welcome to Con-Air". Great movie I actually really like John Malkovich - he works that bad guy sense really well, maybe it's because he's french? haha. I loved the story and ofcourse the movie. Enjoyable and full of explosions. Deffinately was a big thing in the 90's.

MCT:September 12, 2008con air is a very cool action/thriller about a man named cameron poe who gets hisself in a mess when he accidentally kills 2 men during a fight. now years later, cameron is released from prison & is on his way home to see his wife & daughter on a plane. things go horribly wrong when a man called cyris the virus takes over the plane & makes up his own rules. now cameron must use all of his skills to take out cyris & his men. this movie had a ton of action, gunfights, & explosions. it was very entertaining from start to finish. the acting was great from everyone especially from nicolas cage, john cusack, & john malcovich. this movie also has quite amount of language in it. overall i recommend this movie to anyone u loves action movies, its an explosive action packed movie that u just cant miss, welcome to con air 5/5 stars.

I really enjoyed this movie because of the 3 main actors but also the supporting cast. ALso the plot i rather liked, how they could pull that off i'll never work out but alright then :]. Still just a fantastic piece of work, especially John Malkovich brilliant as sirus the virus.

it was great, esp the insane bt most clever guy and the moments in it were gud esp th e quote "define iron, a bunch of convicts in a runaway plane dancin to a song by a rock band that died in a plane crash, that was awesome"

WOW! this movie blew me away, and i can't believe that people don't like Nic Cage, its annoying how peoples view of him is limited to only shit like Ghost Rider and Wicker Man, and National Treasure. Newayz, see this movie, it is the reason action movies are awesome, and it is a shame that they have yet to make hardly any movies like this since the start of the century

I love this film even though it is the classic dramic action but I love it, I think it is fantastic A coz it got Nicolas Cage in and I like anything with a bit of martial arts in I do like a good action movie

i love the John's in this movie they just kill me everytime with how awesome they are. Nick Cage's accent was a little grating after about 5 minutes. Its good though....take some of the best B movie actors put them in a crazy situation and blow a lot a lot of shit up. Super awesome.

I thought it was fantastic, brilliant, great action film, and Nicolas cage was amazing, but iot gets points off because it dragged on and on and on and it seemed like they just wanted to see how many explosions they could do. I liked it though.

Con Air was a commerical for flowing radiant hair, wasn't it? Nope, it was a movie about covicts on a plane, which is just like stupid. Talk about a flight risk! Something is just bound to go wrong. Not one of Nick Cage's best roles either.
