  A TERRIBLE movie if you're familiar with Hellblazer, and barely a good movie if you're not familiar with Hellblazer. The people who made this were obviously too caught up in trying to squeeze money out of merchandising and initial coolness-influenced box office to be bothered making a worthwhile adaptation. I still haven't been able to bring myself to watch this movie again.
  
  I probably would have liked it more if I'd never read the great Hellblazer stories beforehand; if you liked this movie, do yourself a favor and get the Hellblazer books from Amazon, starting with Original Sins, then Devil You Know, then Fear Machine, then Family Man, and on from there. The best Hellblazer book is Dangerous Habits, on which this movie is supposedly based.

  All I can say is that this movie was good in spite of the bad story. Look for the sequal to be twice as dark and have a much better story behind it!

  This is a fave of mine, despite it's many potholes in the script. It was actually more than I expected, I expected something written badly with your usual gratuitous violence and gore. Instead you get lots of snark and sarcasm, violence but not too much to make it redundant and a pretty good cast. All in all worth the rental and/or buying on eBay fees.

  This film is nothing compared to the comics. First, who should be playing Constantine in my opinion would be Daniel Craig, perfect british, chain smoker, blonde bloke with an accent and not beautifully weird Keanu. Second, the comic book has the coolest stories and this one really didn't make a lot for me.

  Youll pick this up expecting Doom-esque blasting of ugly arse demons. But if thats what you looking for, rent Doom instead. This is worth the rental fee though, very stylish and cool in a noir-ish way.
