Cover-Up
In Cover-Up, an insurance investigator Sam Donovan (Dennis O'Keefe) who is called up to investigate a supposed accidental death. Hindered in his efforts by the local townspeople and the sheriff Larry Beat (William Bendix), Sam hooks up with local girl Anita (Barbara Britton) to find out the true story of the death. The film has a lack-luster plot with a predictable ending, but is notable for its rural setting, beautifully photographed by Ernest Laszlo.
