The documentary is amusing, but doesn't feel quite right. It just kind of meanders along. Ivan Thompson makes up for it, though, "The Cowboy Cupid" is ridiculous.

Documentaries are all about the subjects, or people in this case, they focus on. Good people, good documentary. Boring people, boring documentary. In this case, the subject of the film carries the picture from beginning to end, and you just never know what he's gonna do next.
This documentary is okay, but it could have been much more engaging. Its pretty much your run of the mill film. You will be moderately engaged and chuckle a little but you won't tell for friends about it and especially not write a letter.
This documentary was the perfect mix of a quirky character study and uncomfortable love story mixed up in a blender and dished up with a side of awesome. I thought the way the director filmed the plight of these men looking for thier future wives in Mexico, was funny but very akward and truthful in a good way. I got so uncomfortable so many times in this film that I was squirming in my seat. This often was when one of the main guys takes his new Mexican wife home to meet his parents and show her his mobile home. Wonderful break from the norm... I highly reccomend it.
I haven't seen this one to rate it. Nor have I seen a Movie trailor to decide if I want to watch it.
An hour and a half advertisement for Ivan's Mexican Mail Order Bride Service.
One must note that Ivan is "still looking" for a wife himself. Oh he had himself a "Nice Mexican woman for a wife", but that ended in divorce (twice) all onna counta she wanted to go and learn her some English - and be the boss of him and all that there. Sad and disturbing.
interesting move to see how desperate men are willing to think they are it in mexico when they are viewed as the undesirables for their bad traits. Sad but true....good to see or rent
interesting? perhaps. i think i'm drawn to it because of some foreign film i once watched about war brides which was very good and which i CANNOT REMEMBER THE TITLE OF. of course.
I don't know it kinda sounds long and boring. If someone tells me to watch it sometime I will, but I am not going to go look for it.
I want to see it just so I can say I've seen it. "Hey, did you see cowboy del amor last night?" wikid.
I would not have seen this one if it wasn't for working at the Documentary Network. Very interesting concept, though. Almost seems as if it was made up
Looks like you either love it or hate it. Personally I am repelled by the idea of someone doing this. However, I suppose that I cannot judge until I see it for myself.
