  High octane isn't the word with this flick, 'Grand Theft Auto' on speed with a firecracker up its arse more like haha. This is pure and utter mayhem from start to finish, it IS a computer game, guns, guns, big guns, tits, ass, naked girls, more tits and ass, bullet wounds, graphic sex n violence, swearing to the max, unreal situations, gangs, knives and a whole load of shaky cam work. But don't be put of as this is a good pile of adrenaline soaked in petrol, its totally crazy and yet extremely fun. The stupid plot is lost as you stare wide eyed at the carnage unfolding before you, the film never lets up for one sec as you move from one nipple slicing sequence to the next (the over the top graphic novel style violence does remind me of 'Robocop'). Statham really excels here too, his rough cockney image blends so well in the melting pot of LA (you wouldn't think) and his grizzled appearance does go down in cinema character history along side other classics's such as 'Snake Plissken'. Apart from a rather quick and unexpected ending which is a shame this is great fun with plenty for all pervs and gun nuts hahaha much better than the first outing.

  Crank 2 has even bigger balls than the first. Making a sequel was a risky concept, seeing as he died in the first film and all but then it's not really a film that takes itself too seriously. I love the dialogue, the snappy editing and the quirky interruptions. It's the logical progression of the action film in my mind, give me this over the expendables every time. Some of it is bad taste but very little, the sequel is sillier than the first but all the better for it. Surreal band brilliant, Jason Statham at his best. There is something good about a cockney roaming around LA calling people C**nts. All that said, the third has to be something amazing in order for the franchise to continue.

  Flawed flawed flawed flawed. But what a fun movie. I was glad to see Chev Chelios again. Mark and Brian "just juiced" up the movies! I really hope they make a third. These movies are my guilty pleasure.

  Wow. Get ready. Neveldine + Taylor didn't break their promise to us, and instead they delivered a concoction of glorious ADD-induced mayhem not seen since the first Crank. Except - it's more glorious.

  I was shocked to see that this is the same directors as the first one....cause it totaly sucks compared...it's the same thing...but there's no feeling what so ever....boring....bad actors...the whole package...3 funny moments though...

  The continuation of Chev Chelios, the unkillable man and adrenaline god of LA. This is just as good as the original and gives you everything you could possibly want from the genre again. This goes further in some ways, having a Godzilla-like battle scene, Hooker assassins, nipple slicing and my favorite of all, a girl getting shot in the tits resulting in her silicone leaking out. Jason Statham returns to his crown and does more damage this time, proving himself the most dangerous and unstoppable force known to man. He receives his immortality whilst shocking himself off a transformer, catching on fire and beating a man to death and flipping off the camera. By far one of the most illogical yet amazing things ever put on screen.

  I love both of the crank films and this is awesome and hilarious and as long as you can get past how crazy the movie is and if you can just enjoy the movie for what it is, a nonstop crazy action movie, then you should love this movie. A-

  Crank 2: High Voltage is an amped up version of first film. Everything about this film is even more over the top this around (if you can believe that). Crank 2 picks up right after the events of the end of the first film. This time around, Chev Chelios has got an artificial heart, and is powered by a battery, he only has one hour to find his heart or else he's dead. Crank 2, is definitely a top notch sequel, it's a fun, comical and action packed ride as we ride along Chev Chelios for another wild ride for him to stay alive. If you loved the first Crank, you'll love this sequel.

  Sometimes, a little kid will do something funny on accident. Everyone laughs and the kid is proud of the fact that he cracked up the adults. So then he starts doing the thing on purpose, and suddenly it's not so funny anymore, in fact, it's obnoxious. Crank: High Voltage is that little kid. Not that the first movie was a font of plausibility, but this sequel makes the first film seem like a documentary in comparison. Or a good movie. Crank: High Voltage has a level of late-night-softcore-cinemax-porn filmmaking to it crossed with a later eighties "Tromaville"-style of humor. As you may recall from the ending of the first film, Crank was dropped 90 stories out of a helicopter, bounced off a car, and landed in the middle of the street, presumably dead, The End. Well, turns out, some members of the triad gang came and scraped him up off the street (literally, with a SNOW SHOVEL) and took him back to a make-shift operating room, where they harvested his heart and replaced it with one of those artificial deals. They intend to keep him alive, so that they may harvest more of his organs, starting with his penis. Crank overhears this, leaps up off the operating table, and begins to assassinate people, video-game style. He sticks a shotgun up a fat guy's butt, I guess to interrogate him on the whereabouts of his real heart, which he needs back in order to live. So, with the information he gets from the shotgun prostate exam, he goes racing off in a stolen car to get his heart. Suddenly, a souped-up car comes up along side him, and some mexicans challenge him to a drag. Distracted, he crashes the car and gets thrown 50 feet through the windshield. When he gets up, he realizes the battery that keeps his artificial heart beating has been destroyed. Now, in order to keep his heart beating, he must give himself massive electric shocks, (tazers, dog collars, car batteries, etc.) and it's here we get the film's title from. Maybe this all sounds hilarious and awesome on paper, I don't know. It just gets dumber and dumber as it goes along. Dumb people shouldn't try to be funny. Crank: High Voltage just tries to damn hard, and the result is a surprisingly boring and disappointing trainwreck.

  Whilst crank was corny, over the top and extremely far fetched it was easy watching and a little comical, it's sequel, however is pretty much the same film remade with a few situation changes.

  Statham. Even though there are a lot of people who will try to convince me that the Stath is in fact a good actor, referencing Snatch. However, even though Snatch is great, Statham is the obvious weak link in the myriad of actors in the film, crawling through lines painfully and wearing the same expression for a lot of the film. The reason that Snatch is so good is because the movie itself is the star, as well as a fantastic performance from Brad Pitt. However, in a film as base, silly and boring and Crank 2, Statham has nothing to fall back on. This film is beyond terrible. WIth the most ridiculous storyline, stilted dialogue and preposterous situations, there is not one redeeming factor in the entire film. Not one. From the guy cutting off his own nipples to the ridiculous public sex scene, as well as the OTT strip joint fight scene, everything about this film is repulsive. The style itself is enough to out me off and the unoriginal and boring storyline helps even less. Hated this film, with a passion. Defining Scene: There was one bit, where Chelios busts a dude up in one smack to the throat which was good, otherwise there wasn't one.

  A sequel very similar to the first, totally OTT action and stunts. Not too mention everything else. Some scenes were just way out weird and didn't fit in. Not bad overall, but missing the spark of the first film.

  This is the best Jason Statham's sequel weird action film I ever watched than the original. Plenty of action, funny, hot sexy girls, nudity and... crank! Statham's return character as Chev Chelios races through LA after his heart removed and replaced with an electrical model not designed for heavy use, have public sex on a racetrack and slam bad guys through walls, he's going to need regular electric shocks to keep him going. It's hard to see where the action genre goes from here. For all Michael Bay's gaint ro-balls, even he has never had a character slice his own nipples off. It's testament to the absurdity that a dreamlike sequence where a papier-mache headed, Godzilla-sized Statham beats up a bad guy in a model city seems like one of the film's more realistic moments. Amy Smart's more funny and hottest in her stripping scene and sex scene with Statham on the racetrack. And Bai Ling and Corey haim are pretty useless.

It was sloppy, inconsistent, cheesy, and way over the top. Nothing really made sense, and pretty much everything that happens in this film is completely unfathomable. Suspension of reality can be fun at times, but this film takes it too far. It was too laughable to really enjoy. Watching this film is like being on a serious acid trip, and I think that's what the directors were aiming for. So in that sense, the film is mildly successful, and it does appeal to certain audiences, especially those who were big fans of the first one. But, once again, it was a little too over the top and unrealistic for me to enjoy. <i>Shoot Em Up</i> is a much better choice for unrealistic fun.
