Pretty sweet. Real unique comedic-action. Like a hard-core Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. There were a couple moments that lost me but more than a few that were the coolest idea I've ever seen.
Beyond ridiculous. This movie makes "Smokin' Aces" look like a plausible, award-worthy movie. A faulty premise plus flashy, gimmicky editing plus a screenplay that could have been written by a fourteen year old boy for a school project equals a waste of an hour and a half plus of my time. I enjoyed the last 30 seconds of this movie, but other than that, I was quite embarrassed to watch this actually. If it were not for a great soundtrack, this movie would have been easily demoted to a half-star rating. For a good action movie that is better in every respect, I would recommend "Leon: The Professional".
BEWARE! DO NOT TAKE HALLUCINOGENIC DRUGS AND THEN LET YOUR FRIENDS TELL YOU THIS IS A GOOD MOVIE. THE TWO ARE NOT A GOOD MIX. Actually you may not have the attention span to sit through this movie unless you are on drugs.

And I didn't regret it the least. Picture GTA on wheels (for the ones of you unfamiliar with GTA, picture a naked midget female with the Stendhal Syndrome, facing an Edvard Munch's exhibition). That's what you get with Crank. Completely mindless entertainment and adrenaline. So you can actually leave your brain aside for the length of the movie.
And, every now and then, what the fuck is wrong with that?
Crank is a no brainer, fast paced kind of movie. The story is as simple as it gets, but the directing, the script and the camera work make it worthy all the way through. Plus, it also has some crazy, uncalled for, WTF?? kinds of scenes, that are used to spice up things a bit further, here and there.
Again, Statham - who is, without a shadow of a doubt, THE actor to play these kinds of roles - delivers a great, fun-to-watch performance, while he keeps the rush pumping throughout the entire movie.
Watch it while in the mood to let yourself be entertained rather than to be the one to entertain your mind.
If the latter doesn't make sense, then I guess it's safe to say you belong to that blessed group of people who can watch this movie pretty much anytime they like.
interesting concept, was very odd in some parts where it seemed like Jason Statham's character was reading the translations on the screen, but overall i enjoyed it.
this film is unreal from start to finish this film has everything, it is one of the best films i have seen this year would recomend anyone looking for a no nosense film to watch
Don't blink,there's fast-paced non stop action all the way,you might miss something!Plenty of gory violence,killings and even an unbelievable sex scene on top of everything.What went wrong then?In the end I had the impression of a colourful sparkling shell that proved to be empty and I'm not talking about the plot,dialogues or characters.I like fun mindless action movies but this one was disappointing,I was expecting more...To tell the truth I enjoyed more The Transporter...
Ridiculous, brainless action film. Pure entertainment, hilariously silly at times... The filming and the rest of the film aren't done well enough to garner more than 3 stars though.
I don't know what it is about this movie, but I end up watching it every time I see it on cable. Shotime has run it 5 times that I know of this month and I've sat down and finished it every time. This is better than both Transporters behind. Statham is a great actor and portrays the cool character that you would love to meet. The action is a bit unrealistic, but you kind of have to turn it up a notch with a title like Crank. Great action, funny 1 liners, and super visuals balance it out for a great movie. Amy Smart has to be one of the top 5 best looking women ever.
An action packed film from start to finish. Plenty of action, and shootings to make any one that likes thistype of film happy. The pace is fast and the humourous moments work well.
One of, if not the best action movies I've seen. Such a unique story with never before seen action scenes. Statham is the fukin man when in comes to action movies. I liked the different ways in which he got the adrenaline boost!
