I've never been moved by any movie until I saw this one. No movie has shown such harsh reality & the cancer of this society. Tops my list!
I've never been moved by any movie until I saw this one. No movie has shown such harsh reality & the cancer of this society. Tops my list!
I've removed everyone on my friends list who gave this less than a 3/5 or trash talked it. Give me a break, open your eyes and get educated.
People who have trashed this movie with bad ratings and reviews may as well be those narrow-minded individuals who are blind to what's really taking place in society and to their own prejudices. Hello??!!! It won best movie of the year! It's an eye-opening movie that portrays the reality of what American society has become. It makes you pause for a while to rearrange your stance in life and the gravity of your actions to others. Causes you to think & rethink Don Cheadle's soliloquy at the beginning of the movie. It is my opinion that every human being should see this film...
just wanna add that this is not a documentary so its bound to be artificial. it not even a docudrama.
one of the most racist movies made about anti-racist. totally pretious and contrived. totally fake.(yuck!)
My favorite movie ever, all the characters ar great,in fact the most "populars",Sandra Bullock and Brendan Fraser are the ones that maybe are not in the level of all the others, like Michael Pena, the scene with his daugther its the hardest scene I ever seen, the only movie that made my cry.....well,maybe the end of Braveheart also....
i wud say this is the most brilliant movie.serves to show we are all connected somehow, someway we just need to find out how
well...racism comes in various facets, shapes, sizes, situations...etc..so give in this movie, it only potrayed minute segments of racism. Spike lee's movie also covering just a segment of racism. So give this movie a break...oh hell its the movie of the year! lol
this movie was obviously written by people who never experienced racism in their lives. doesn't offer any realy insight to the problem of racism in the united states or race relations for that matter. the message is hammered into your consciousness until your brain is raw. watch spike lee's do the right thing.
I really loved this film. It was so real.Michael Pena was brilliant...but at the same time... I couldn't stand that stupid shop guy!
a definitely brilliant movie to watch! definitely deserved the oscar best motion picture award!!!
Its lack of narrative subtlety prohibits Crash being a truly great film; there are great performances and breathtakingly captured scenes, however, the scriptwriter’s immense confidence, in an admittedly clever concept (however crudely executed), appears to be to blame for the contrived feeling of the resulting film.
The over simplistic narrative unnecessarily highlights the intentions of the filmmakers and makes it feel like a medium for crudely constructed and (somewhat paradoxically) vague ideology making it hard to focus on the story rather than the story telling. This is a challenging concept that was sadly underdeveloped (resulting in a slightly heavy-handed and a clichéd script) but otherwise very well made.
This movie showed you the "no holds bar" of how life is and what we presume of others that we do not know. And in this particular movie in the end they all run into one another. Every human being in any race , gender , or sex should see this movie. It will make you think and learn from it... An amazing cast of characters makes this movie a blockbuster.
Wow............and the award for most over hyped, most overrated, and most not worthy of it's Oscars goes to ------ CRASH!!
This is a film that says "I am going to deal with racism" .... but the annoying thing is that ACTUALLY says it. Ludacris and Bullock's characters and their lines made me cringe with every passing word as they fumbled through the horrid dialogue layed out by Haggis. There is nothing truly thought provoking about this picture on it's levels of racism, which happen to be the most poignant of overtones.
Other than that, this is a fine film.
Stunning score and acting from start to finish, incredibly moving sequences (e.g., car fire rescue, girl saves her Dad with her invisible cloak) and a fresh, original take on 21st C racial prejudice.
Even if you disagree with the film's message (that most people have at least unconcious preconceptions about people they meet, based on race), just savour the film for the spine shivering emotion delivered by Haggis's direction and the sound track.
Stimulates raw emotions (successfully) and achieves in reaching a point. Everyone has both a dark and a good side. Well done!
A piece of crap, totally unrealistic, crappy stereotypical characters. Brokeback Mountain should of won Best Picture, not this turd. The most overrated film in years.
