LOL this movie is hilarious, if you enjoyed the first one then definately watch this one. Also if you are able to get your hands on the third one about him goin to LA then you have got to watch that one as well. Funny, Funny, Funny.
A sequel of course but this time in reverse. After Dundee scores the girl they return to his place and now the city girl has to find her way about. Throw in some bad guys and you're set. Not as funny as first time around.
Very great movie, with the whole drug scheme gotta save the girl run for your life bit. The ending was the kicker tho-I seriously thought her was dead the 1st time I watched it. lol
They tried to capture the awesomeness of the first one but totally failed. The best part is when he's fishing in the beginning. And it goes downhill from there.
I certainly enjoyed the first Crocodile Dundee film and found it to be great entertainment, and this sequel is about as much fun as the original. This follow-up to the classic 1986 Australian international hit is enjoyable, entertaining, fun and quite humorous. Mick Dundee (Hogan) is still on vacation in New York City with his new girlfriend Sue (Kozlowski). In Columbia, Sue's ex-husband captures drug dealers committing a murder on camera. But he is noticed and barely escapes. Fearing for his safety, he sends Sue the film from the camera so he can collect it when he gets back to New York. But the drug dealers find out where the film has gone, and head to New York in an attempt to recover the film. We begin the story in New York, then midway through we return to the rugged Australian landscape in the Northern Territory. As always, the character of Mick Dundee is played to perfection by Paul Hogan who makes Mick as lovable and as Australian as he was in the original. Of course being an Aussie myself I love the Australian themes and language, as well as the humour. Like its predecessor, I was in stitches throughout due to Mick's simplicity and attitude to every situation. I know there are lots of people who disliked this sequel for whatever reasons, but I enjoyed it and it kept me entertained for its lengthy running time of about 110 minutes. Crocodile Dundee II scores higher than most rip-off Hollywood sequels...and it's an Australian film. Recommended.
This is camp and this is classic. Not the original and nowhere near as good, but if you like the genre of eighties action heros, here is one with every cliche and laughable scene in the book.
I really loved the first movie. Unfortunately the studios didn't know what to do with Paul Hogan because he wasn't young enough to be a bankable breakout star plus a "foreigner" but he was thanks to the first movie a hot property. So they revisited the movie and here's the twist they did it in reverse the Outbackman comes away from the city he's started to adapt to and goes back to the outback.
It was OK if formulaic.
