    Cruel Intentions was a big deal back when it was released, but it doesn't hold up quite as well now. It was once a shocking look at how cruel and shallow spoiled teenagers could be, but now it only reminds me that Reese Witherspoon used to have huge boobs, and that Ryan Phillippe...( read more) pouts way too much.

    okay, so it's a pervy comedy thriller for teens but it is a good movie primarily because it has all those elements and they work together! it's actually very funny. sarah michelle gellar does probably her best acting in her career (yeh, i know, it's the 1st time she's actually ac...( read more)ted). i most enjoyed watching selma blair who plays a sexy airhead. i swear i remember her in a comedy when i was younger called zoe, duncan, jack & jane...????

    I don't think I could stand such a self-obsessed american teenage flick nowadays, but back in the 90s this was a very sexy, stylish and clever movie. Worth it for the great soundtrack and satisfying ending.

    Excellent modern version of Dangerous Liaisons. Kathryn and Sebastian are too rich and popular, so bored they play with other people's lives. Great cast.

    I feel like Ryan Phillippe and Sarah Michelle Gellar made the movie while Reese was seriously miscast. The ending is so dumb, but otherwise it's a pretty decent late-90s drama.

    The beginning and middle are just.. fun, like every other teen movie. Ryan Phillippe is good, Reese Witherspoon as well, and Sarah Michelle Gellar is just great in her role!
