Some good acting here, and an unusual storyline, but cool. Such a sad and tradgic story in the end. A lot of sex bonding and rich life styles. Cute main guy and deffiently a catchy storyline. One worth seeing if you like romantic drama's.
Needless to say, the acting on this film lacks credibility - Ryan Philippe should've tried harder to pose as the bad guy, the same thing goes for Sarah Michelle Gellar too. There are some cracks in the story and I think it all happened too fast - like, don't you need some time before you fall madly in love with a guy you just met ? On the other hand, I really liked the plot ( I should read the book ), these type of dark and twisted stories are very interesting. Also, the soundtrack was chosen wisely and the orchestral stuff by Edward Shearmur was also adequate. I liked the ending, and probably, if the acting had been better, it would've been a great movie.
incredibly cheesy but the fact that is drew me to watch it over 20 times in a short gap of about 6months tells you something about the movie, it is gripping beyond understanding. i have yet to see Dangerous Liaisons which it is supposed to be a remake of but i look forward to

i love this film! i think its brilliant. They make such a good "bad" team, and they have a chemistry between them.And altho the "lesbian" kiss is pretty childish the film is kick ass!
The Chemistry between Catherine & Sabastian was genius, I liked the story, and how everything came together in the end! A great revenge movie and I loved Ryan's personality in this movie!

This movie was so good. I was amazed at how mean some people can be. Some parts of this moive made my skin crawl, but it was so good to watch. You never knew what was going to happen next and how far the characters would go to get what they want.
WOW. This is a spectacular movie. Very Seductive. It had a Great plot. Amazing acting. The characters are fantastic... Lascivious blackmailers and inveterate immoralists, these characters behave despicably, they make the movie what it is. You need to see it.

This is a great movie. Reese Witherspoon does great at being a good-natured person with a brain actually fixed to her beautiful body. But in redemption of some of the film's wandering and weak plot points, the ending comes along as a wonderful tsunami of sweet justice. An excellent soundtrack make this one entertaining viewing.
I like this one in all aspects. The dialog is witty, the story is decent enough, the actors did well to make this movie very entertaining. There was no "rolling your eyes" moments in this one considering it's a teen movie.

Very original adaptation of The Dangerous Liaisons... looks like posh people have always been the same. I really like Reese Witherspoon, Selma Blair and Ryan Philippe.

Gossip girl , Bawang merah & bawang putih , Upik Abu dan Laura,Mean Girls , etc. are totally ''taken'' from this wicked drama . The wickedness of Upper East sider or the ''trap game'' of rich people are ''taken'' from this wicked drama totally .
Smart and wicked are 2 words to describe this rich people drama . Kathryn ( Sarah Michelle Gellar) is a total smart biting bitch and Sebastian ( Ryan Phillipe) is a quarter-innocent boy with enchanting charm , the virgin (Reese Witherspoon ) is a smart virgin with her uniqueness , and there's also Selma Blair's character whom i forgot the name who is an innocent girl hated by Kathryn . Every characters are used nicely , their connection is something special and nice to watch . With Kathryn acts we never knew what happened next ,absolutely from that statement we knew that the story just very unpredictable .
casting problem :
- Sarah Michelle Gellar is almost perfect for Kathryn , but IMHO S.M. Gellar tried a little too hard to be sexy and wicked .
- Ryan Philippe is good boy gone bad as Sebastian . But , honestly , he didn't show a total wicked guy . Maybe , as i know he is a good actor with sweet adorable face like a total nice man . He's a 'bit miscasting here (IMO)
- Reese Witherspoon lost from S.M.G. because she looked a 'bit too dark when we(or i exactly) expect her to be a total bright cheerful virgin .
- Selma Blair : the only one to be the nicest , the stupidest , the most innocent person after all with the one of the most attractive personality in this drama . She's another point of entertainment .
Directing :
Princess Diary's way with a lot more darker tone .
Script :
less appealing with some words just unnatural .
Overall :
A really wicked inspiring movie good casting and dark tone .
This sucks. Seriously, all that drama just to get the guy run over in the end?? Although I actually loved that, because it was like: Sebastian meets weird guy, they fight in a stupid way, than Sebastian falls and you see a car coming.. Next shot: Funeral. Very comical, though they probably didn't want to be funny. I think Reese Whitherspoon is a bit too much of a goody-goody, though. And I absolutely despise Sarah Michelle Gellar. Murder her with a sharp stick.
I've seen a little and Sarah Michelle Gellar was a devil! I wanted to kill her! She was very good at her character... I would like to see the rest of it.
