For such a short movie (29 minutes long), they sure as hell managed to pack one hell of a punch. This may be short, but it is one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen. Often cited as being one of the most disgusting, this movie portrays the life of a woman who is neglec...( read more)ted by her icy husband who also happens to be lusting after their young son. Yes, that's right, he's a pedophile, but don't worry, it gets worse. Their relationship has turned sour and she is slowly going insane as things begin to take their toll and decides to take drastic measures in order to get him to notice her. She begins by filing down her lips and then cutting them off with a pair of scissors - which is shown in graphic detail. For some strange reason, instead of escorting his wife to the nearest psychiatric ward, whilst stopping off at the nearest hospital, the pair decide to cut their genitalia off with garden shears as the husband breaks down also. Powerful.

The self-hyped film is mostly a study on "suburban existance" and the human condition at times. The only short that's pure horror is extremely cringe-inducing (Cutting Moments) and it's the very last one. I'm debating whether it was my favorite short or not. Fun and funny shorts overall - low-budget and it has "indie" written all over it.
