You have to be pretty much a fan of movies like Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" to like and appreciatehis film. Many people were turned off by this movie, but at least everybody can notice the amazing cinematography. Daft Punk really did their homework on that end. No p...( read more)un intended. There was a story shown which was ok, but what was also really different was the music used. I guarantee that everyone who went to see this expected some crazy Daft Punk tunes or at least something like their music, but this infact was not the case. This is not saying that the music was bad either, infact it fit the movie. Overall, its not a bad film and is worth seeing for its amazing cinematography that I think is one of the best cinematography efforts I've seen in a while. Aside from that, its nothing special. The Daft Punk jackets were dumb too, but hey, it's Daft Punk.

Huge Daft Punk fan, not a huge Electroma fan. Some amazing images but I need more than two men walking around the desert wearing robot helmets for the whole movie. There should have been more music too! Daft Punk are great on the stage (Hyde Park 2007 rocked) but not so great her...( read more)e. Shortened considerably, this would have made an amazing extended music video. Unfortunately it was far too long.

See Daft Punk drive! See Daft Punk gaze into mirrors! See Daft Punk walk! Alot! All said and done, the visuals were highly impressive, especially the expansive desert. Yeah, yeah I get the message of the movie, but it doesn't help that at some points I was bored.

All said and do...( read more)ne there is an upside to this movie. You can sync Electroma up with Daft Punk's cd Human After All. Now, it isn't perfect, especially since it depends which cut you have (the American version has a shorter run time?). Regardless I tried it and it made the film much more enjoyable. When Daft Punk is driving through the town and they look at the man reading the newspaper, the cd gets about a little way through Robot Rock and the song slows down at this point and picks right back up when they drive off. There are other moments like this as well, and Emotion fits so well with all the shots of the desert. Was this done purposely? Perhaps. Or just a hell of a coincidence.

This is great. It is shot just perfictly. There is a lot of meaning and thought behind this film. It lost half a star for the Daft Punk jackets. They seemed to pull me out of the movie. It's like high art then bam Daft Punk. Ok next it lost half a star for the sand vagina. I mean...( read more) what the f*ck? What did that mean, why was it there? Any way great music also and verry compelling. If you are a fan o THX 1138 or Holy Mountain you should check this out. I loved the minamulist sifi 70's approch. I loved this film.

I think Daft Punk missed. Some wonderful imagery and great for first time filmmakers, but really difficult to like, even though I want to. The lab and the ends are best. Worth seeing if you like artistic impressions over really movement.

One of the weirdest movie I have ever seen. This movie has no dialogues, just silence and sometimes a little bit of music. A movie just for freaks.
