    This is like an audio book that you can see. It's not really a film, so it can't be judged as one. It can only be compared to the experience of reading the comic.

    This could be the most important DD story of the 90s because it started a whole new era. It's was also one of...( read more) the better stories of the era.

    This dvd pleased me -- the sound and visual fx are a treat, and of course the dvd version allows reading a comic to be a group activity. The downside is that you don't get to imagine your own sound/music in your head or admire the art at your own pace. My one criticism with the story itself is that it's way too wordy at times. My one criticism with the dvd is that some of the voice casting was way off (ie: Kingpin). If the sound bugs you just turn it down and you're basically reading the comic on your tv set.

    I'd say watching this dvd is probably an equally great experience as reading the actual comics.
