Not my favorite Almodóvar to date, but the dark humor, when it's working, is very good. I asked you all a few weeks ago if you could think of a movie where the Catholic Church comes out smelling like a rose. I'm still thinking about that.

Tho with alot of surprises & starring all our fav Almodovar actors, the story was still not up to par. See it to say u have. See TIE ME UP, TIE ME DOWN.

A strange B-movie, that's also a satire of religious life.
Amazing cinematography, a nice cast and few glimpses of a mature Pedro Almodóvar ultimately lose out to its god-awful dubbing, which made me take out the DVD.

Very Almodovar! If you aren't into older movies then this movie is not for you! I loved it, was amazed everytime the nun was doing drugs! Oh and the nun on acid, hilarious!
Nuns writing romantic novels, nuns having a full-grown tiger as a pet, nuns wo take heroin daily, lesbian nuns... you see it all in this movie. But the style is very much eighties and not really well-made. I wouldn't recommend it because of the plot either.
