Scientist Peyton Westlake (Arnold Vosloo) continues to work on his synthetic skin for victims from burst skin with the assistance of Dr. David Brinkman (Jesse Collins) with Laurie Brinkman (Renée O'Connor). Reporter Jill Randall (Kim Delaney) discovers Peyton Westlake is still alive.
As the title reveals the evil crime boss Robert G. Durant (Larry Drake) miraclously survived the helicopter explosion and is 'back in business' and only Darkman (now played by Arnold Vosloo) can stop him. "Darkman II: The Return Of Durant" is a solid sequel but doesn't bring anything new to the table to add to the character of Darkman and Durant is still not a very cool villain.
I want to see it, just by curiosity. I liked the first one but this one probalbably isn't as good as the other. And it's a shame it doesn't have Liam Nielson on the cast.
lacklustre return of the darkman franchise. Pitiful script rewrites obviously hampered by budgetary constraints meant this never reaxched its potential and as such was frustrating to those of us comic fans who enjoyed the first film.
Waste of TIME!! Very Weak movie, DO NOT WATCH, if you do end up watching it, side effects may include: Suicide, murder ramapages, road ramapage, any kinds of ways of harming yourself, and many others...
Different actor Arnold Vosloo from "The Mummy" plays crime-fighting master of disguise isn't bad in this non-stop action against his enemy back from the dead.
I would give this three stars, if it wern't for the (somwhat unconvincing) semi-resurrection of Larry Drake's brilliant bad guy, Durant. While this is the weakest of the series, it is still very good, a wonderful little action/ revenge film. Plus Durant shouting 'Westlake!' every scene is a joy I could never get bored of.
OMG thers a sequel? holy shit i ahve only seen the first i wanna see this so badly! yah when i wath it now i kind of think of spawn in the sense that he wants back his wife but at the end he doesn't reli care, and he wants revenge on those who fucked him over...this'll be good
