Day at the Beach
Shiftless alcoholic Bernie is befriended by a little girl. The girl is hampered by an injury that requires a leg brace. Bernie recites poetry, drinks beer, and eventually passes out in front of the girl. Suspense builds as the irresponsible Bernie manages to endanger the girl with his drunken escapades.

Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"What could be one of [Roman] Polanski's trademark alienated creatures comes off as little more than a pathetic, self-pitying jerk under Simon Hesera's direction."
‑ Sean Axmaker, Seattle Post-Intelligencer
