This echo of 1970s disaster films stars Sylvester Stallone as the disgraced former head of New York City's Emergency Medical Services, a loser who is nevertheless a compulsive rescuer of people in dan...( read more

I thought this was a wonderful film I thought that Stallone kind of over played it a bit when he was yelling about the situation but yeah over all awesome movie
A disaster waiting to happen, it is a film that never grows old though. Sylvester Stallone is really fabulous in this film and makes the action of the story all the more enjoyable.
This has added nothing to the value of my life. Sly does his hero thing but the whole flic is over the top computer generated and I found it all way too hard to believe each time there was a narrow escape.
Just re-watched this one all though it was a good movie, and I liked it the first time around, the second time watching it kinda got on my nerves, Slyvester goes down to help these people trapped in a tunnel and all they did was yell at him. (Whatever)
This movie was okay, I expected so much less and got a moderate amount of entertainment...so there you have it.
I find it quite retarded. Its just a bunch of ppl causing havoc cuz of being stuck. And the havoc isnt even good enough to be remembered.
This movie was ridiculous. Not terrible though. Stallone leads a group of people helplessly trapped when a tunnel collapses. -straight forward, and sweet. -though cliche.
One of the more impressive Disaster / Action flicks of the 90's with Stallone in one of his better films too. I've always loved this film!
Good film. Not great, but good. Watched it when I was a kid. Although I'm not a fan of Stallone, this is one of his best films.
Oh wow...this movie was so bad. Part of that long, seemingly never-ending disaster movie trend that gripped the 1990s. This was one of the dumber ones.
i didnt go to sydney for my brothers operation because it involved driving under the harbour bridge (therefore underwater), because i had seen this movie!!!
I quite enjoyed this, but I haven't seen one of the disaster type movies for quite a while, so I guess I was in the mood.
Though the story is very predictable and nothing new, this does make for an entertaining and interesting survival flick. We also get some great performances from excellent character actors including Dan Hedaya, Danielle Harris, Amy Brennamen, and the underused Viggo Mortensen. Though there is a lot of good stuff here, there's a lot of contrived plot twists and predictable storylines. We know who will be killed, who won't. I totally recommend this films to Stallone fans or those who just want a good action flick.
Good movie. Some of the characters - however - are like fingers on a chalkboard. Found it a bit difficult to care if all of them made it out alive.
Oh man, this is a crappy movie. Every bit as cheesy as it seems. Should have been marketed as "Flimsy Premise, starring Sylvester Stallone.
i thought this was a reali good film, reali enjoyed it. all that was going through my head was, i hope the dog lives lol. good.
usually in a disaster movie the characters are presented in a way that you want to see them survive. that is where this film failed ~ there isn't a single person in this film that you could care less about ~ you actually are waiting for them to get killed!
An exciting and and intreaging action movie. Suprisingly subtle. I discovered several simularities to The poseidon adventure.
very emotional drama/action/disaster movie. in my opinion it's sly's best. i'm sure many will disagree. some really good cinematography and sfx such as the explosion scenes with the raging fire (as good as backdraft) and the underwater filming. alot of work must've gone into this and it was well worth it
Wasn't bad for aSly action flick. But still dumb. But thank god the dog lived... because if it hadn't I would have hated it. LOL
