  Things turn strange for a morbid funeral director's assistant obsessed with an accident in the past when two women suddenly enter his life: his high school ex-girlfriend, and a crackhead who believes he is her guardian angel. This intended psychological thriller is more interesting as a drama for the first two thirds, but blows everything in the final act with a "you gotta be kidding me" ending.

  I'm kind of on the fence with this one because there is some light shed on grounds in darkness in some interesting ways, yet mixed in with some fairly standard film cliches. Rose McGowan turns in a good character portrayal of a drug addicted victim of what falls in between life… More
  I'm kind of on the fence with this one because there is some light shed on grounds in darkness in some interesting ways, yet mixed in with some fairly standard film cliches. Rose McGowan turns in a good character portrayal of a drug addicted victim of what falls in between life and death. The idea of purgatory is touched upon to create a feeling of loss for the main character Dylan well portrayed by Nick Stahl and his mysterious association with Charlie portrayed by Rose McGowan. The focus of the film is rather scattered making it somewhat difficult to review which is why the fence I'm on keeps moving backward and forward. My honorable mention would be of Rose's haunting delivery of the song "Wake" featured at the end of the film.
