[font=Century Gothic]"Dead Man's Memories" takes place in Portugal where a police detective(Miguel Guilherme) comes across Hans'(Klaus Pohl) dead body on a beach. While investigating, he finds his camcorder and car. In the camcorder, there is a videotape of a young woman(Sylvie Testud) who he tracks down to a nearby hotel. Despite her attempted flight, the detective gets some answers as to Hans' identity and the nature of their relationship. Meanwhile, the detective has some issues of his own to deal with...[/font] [font=Century Gothic][/font] [font=Century Gothic]"Dead Man's Memories" gets off to a promising start but eventually ends up in murky waters where the detective's life takes precedence over the central mystery. Still, it is an interesting look at voyeurism and possessiveness that manages to stay one step away from being yet another Hitchcock pastiche. [/font]
